The prospect of training urged Tomahawkman to finish his cup fast. The drink’s taste was pleasant, and certainly much better than coffee. At least, Tomahawkman imagined it that way.

“Sure ! I’m sure you’ve caught some pretty strong ones !” He was excited to show his own strength. “Who needs a break, when there’s training to do !”

He needs a break. Though being who programmed him, he can’t outright say his emotions right now. 

No need to steal Colonel’s cup, this time. Tomahawkman happily grabbed his own cup, and wrapped both his hands around it.

“It’s warm …” Tomahawkman smiled like a child on Christmas. He brought the cup to his lips, and took a little sip. His smile brightened even more.

He half expected the other to spit it out. knowing how childish and static net navis tend to be when their own operators were constantly the same. 

“This smells better than the other thing.” Tomahawkman’s hand slowly approached the cup. “What is it ? Can I try it … please ?”

He pours another digital cup. 

 “Don’t waste it.” he warns, stern as a father figure. Though being one of the oldest net navis gave some credit to it. 

 “....”

Blows on his tea. 

“Of course that’s what he wants ! Dingo never says no to a good Netbattle, and I don’t think that’ll ever change !” Given Dingo’s personality, Tomahawkman was quite confident in his statement. “That’s why I gotta train as often as I can !”

“Did your operator change a lot since the day you first met him ?”

Bold of him to assume Tomahawk man can think past short term goals. 

 “..Indeed, my operator is...unique in that aspect.” in that he time travelled and that he is far older than any net navi has been to. He is one of the oldesst net navi alive that hasn’t lost sanity. 

Tomahawkman immediately reached for the cup again, and took a glance inside. It was empty.

“But I wanna battle! That’s what I was made for !” His first role was to assist Dingo, but he liked to ignore that fact. “What’s the point of having a cool axe, if I don’t get to use it?”

“I don’t wanna become a boring old man like you…”

“Please ! I just wanna know what it tastes like !” Tomahawkman was outright pleading now. He even tried to give Colonel his cutest puppy eyes. “Just a sip …”

“I wanna train with you more … how are we youngsters supposed to get better, if old Navis like you won’t give us any guidance ?”

He sets the cup down. drained of contents. 

 “Perhaps, instead of thinking of how to get stronger, think of ways you can be useful without battle.” with most threats dealt with, a era of peace should follow. though he doubts it would last long with how often megaman often makes new enemies. 

“Really ? What kinda matters ? If they’re so urgent, why aren’t you taking care of ‘em right now ?” Tomahawkman questioned, squinting in disbelief. “Are you … are you actually procrastinating ?”

The offer was tempting, but Tomahawkman could see through Colonel’s ruse. “You’re just trying to get me off your back, aren’t you ? I’ll take you up on that offer later. Besides, I don’t really need BattleChips to fight. My axe’s plenty enough !”

There are plenty of times when the axe simply wasn’t enough. but if he wanted to lead to a early nap, than be his guest. 

 “Hmm.”

Sip. 

With their difference in height, Tomahawkman’s hopes to catch the cup were soon reduced to zero. That didn’t mean he’d give up on making Colonel hand it to him.

“I just wanted to try your coffee. See how bad it really tastes.” Tomahawkman stared at Colonel with pleading eyes. “You sure you don’t wanna go out and delete some viruses with me ? It’ll be like training, but fun ! No time wasted !”

“And what do you do on your days off? Sit there and drink your sad, dark juice ?” Tomahawkman kept trying to reach for the cup.

“Let’s go somewhere fun!” He hoped that his enthusiasm would be contagious enough. “You gotta try other digital drinks !”

 “...No.” it seems that his so called contagious enthusiasm is not enough for the colonel today. After all he doesn’t feel like moving, nor does he feel like napping of all things.  the cup was put further away from tomahawk man reach. 

“I don’t think anyone in their right mind would call you lazy. You’ve never taken a day off in your entire life, I bet.” Tomahawkman accused. “Well, that ends today !”

He reached for the cup, once Colonel was done with his last sip. “No more coffee for you until you take a break.” 

 He pulls the cup closer to him. 

Fortunately (or not), a distraction soon came in the shame of another Navi. Tomahawkman was equally bored while Dingo was at school, and he didn’t enjoy being alone.

“I don’t get how you can drink this.” Tomahawkman sent a judgemental glance at Colonel’s cup. “Do you really like the taste ? If you’re tired, you should take a nap …”

 “I dislike the feeling of laziness.” this was more of restlessness and besides his navigator needed him to be operation at all times since navis, in theory did not need to sleep at all and those who did were only installed the programs to need it. 

 “If you have nothing productive to say, than let it stay silent.” it being his mouth of course. 

Look at him, he’s bored as heck with some digital coffee on the table in front of him. being a net navi with a person who rarely uses him on his off days is ...still. 

 ITS NOT LIKE he can go to other servers on the dime.
