Differences Between Current Yue Kongming and Previous Yue Kongming
During my second read for this series, I picked up several attributes that differentiated the current Yue Kongming from the previous one. Here are the following details I noticed.
The current Yue Kongming wears his outer robe more loosely which makes it not suitable for fighting but it does give off a more cute, laidback vibe compared to the previous one who wears it tight and the ends of his sleeves are tied so that it don't hinder him from fighting. Current KM also keeps his hair short in a little low ponytail while the previous one got his hair longer in a high ponytail.
Personality Types During Fights
Current Yue Kongming prefers to chill (and eat) in the side lines as Qianqiu fights unless she tells him to while the previous one preferred to do the fighting and saving to show off.
Current Yue Kongming is more of a casual gamer while the previous one was more of a hardcore gamer.
Elemental Fighting Styles
Current Yue Kongming having ice and lightening matches with his more chill personality but decisive when he needs to be while the previous one got fire because he was such a hothead and your typical shounen protag type.
Non-combative & Combative
When given the option, current Yue Kongming will defeat them through the power of friendship while the previous one will go the hard way even if it meant his foes were far stronger than him (lol).
Current Yue Kongming enjoys caring for Qianqiu (cooking support food, feeding her, tying her hair, etc) while the previous one enjoyed to tease and quarrel with the og!heroine Lingyao.
It's cute that the current Yue Kongming has red threads in his wrists and waist to match with the ones Qianqiu got in her chest, the tie around the gourd, and her ankles.
Conclusion: It's through these differences that Qianqiu didn't recognize 'Yue Kongming' the first time they met in person because he's pretty much an entirely different person from the one she previously knows.
