Chapter Summary: Kara is forced to confront her feelings.

Kara found herself kneeling on the living room carpet of her apartment. 

It was dark outside, and the space was only illuminated by the warm glow of a single lamp. She looked down at herself and realized that she was still wearing her supersuit. It was like a strange mirror of how she had been positioned in the lot, but this time with no Reign or Lena to be seen. 

A small part of Kara realized that she must be dreaming. However, most of her was completely engrossed in the scenario at hand. Although she didn’t know what yet, she had a feeling that she was waiting for something. 

As if on cue, a knocking at her apartment door drew her attention. Kara vaguely registered that she should probably get up and answer it, but found that her limbs felt strangely heavy. She was awash in a sort of pleasant haze, making her feel languid and content to simply stay where she was on the floor. 

A second later, her door swung open anyways without her help. Kara felt a familiar thrill run down her spine as she watched Lena saunter into the room, high ponytail swinging slightly with each step. 

Kara immediately recognized that Lena was also wearing the same outfit that she had on in the lot. It was as if the two of them had been magically transported to Kara’s apartment in the time since Kara lost consciousness. 

Lena spotted Kara on the floor quickly, her eyes lighting up in recognition, and an almost predatory grin spread across her face. She wasted no time closing the distance between them with quick and purposeful steps, and Kara suddenly found herself face to face with Lena’s thighs. Her eyes were automatically drawn to the pale skin visible between Lena’s skirt and high boots, and she had the strange urge to reach out and touch it. 

Kara was interrupted from these thoughts when Lena bent down slightly in front of her, extending a hand to grasp under Kara’s chin and tilt her head upwards so that they could lock eyes. It was once again almost an exact reenactment of what had happened right before Kara blacked out. 

Until suddenly, it wasn’t.
