why are we as a community not talking about cloak and dagger like. all the time. i feel like we should talk more abt them like LOOK AT THEM.. . THEYRE SO CUTE
despite all my gripes with how Cloak has been portrayed in Rivals, one thing I do appreciate is that the devs consistently double down with portraying Ty and Tandy as a romantic pairing (Like for example I don’t think it’s a coincidence that they released that emote of them kissing after that huge discourse about people seeing them as siblings)
and now their newest skin:
and TBH I think Rivals popularized portraying C&D as a couple because before they were stuck in “will they won’t they”/“friends or siblings” limbo but now them as a couple seems to be the preferred portrayal.
I was really excited when I heard that Peach Momoko’s variant cover was Cloak and Dagger, only to be swiftly disappointed upon seeing it.
…It is 2026 and we still have artists depicting Cloak as if he’s decades older than Dagger (I’d even say he looks like a caricature here). On top of that, she drew Tandy with a childlike demeanor so the entire cover just has a predatory and off-putting vibe.
Peach Momoko has drawn Cloak perfectly fine before, so I’m confused as to how this even happened :/
