Tried to take several videos during the 2019 Nebuta festival and this was the only one that came out well. (The colors of the floats kept getting washed out.) You really have to see this festival to believe it. It's just so cool.

I didn't manage to catch it, but sometimes when the parade stops for a bit they will spin the floats around like crazy and pretend they are gonna crash into the audience.

Hanamaki in Iwate has a mascot called Flower Roll-chan which is the best thing I have ever heard. (It's a literal English translation of the city name.) I first exprienced her in bread form, only to find out later that she is much cuter when she is not bread.
