mori biologically ages only 1-2 years between the inuyasha and yashahime timeline (he is 1000+ years old in godly time so figure that out🤣)

INUYASHA RELATED: after having descended to the human world as a baby and taken in by his grandfather, jin mori grew up as any human would. 17 years later something’s different about him, someone or ‘something’ is calling him

when mori is whisked away and sucked into the feudal era it is then that sealed memories begin to emerge. something smells familiar here. this smell, demons are running amuck. and wait? some of these demons that are being controlled/manipulated by naraku are demons he knows.

jin mori is essentially the “god of monsters”, a king to demons and after having abandoned his realm and his people, leaving them to fend for themselves — the demons promised power and virtue have supposedly landed themselves in the feudal era, under the spell of naraku. unfortunately, despite both the demon’s and mori’s scent being familiar to each other, the demons do not recognize jin mori as their once powerful ruler.

mori supposedly is their king as he’s remembering, however, he only has limited power in the feudal era. he doesnt belong in neither realm except his own, so how can he get them to remember? how can he remember who he was in the past?

these demons are his monsters and now they’re prisoners. now he must fight against them to either save them or kill them. and will he return to his own world?

YASHAHIME RELATED: time has passed while mori has been stuck in the feudal era since his time with inuyasha and crew, on a constant loop/prison fighting demons. he can’t help it. as long as he’s been there, mori has found himself forgetting the reason for his violent escapades and why he’s doing what he’s doing nor who he is. he can’t remember. he doesn’t remember the kind of person he is nor how he ended up in this era.

mori at this time is filled with rage, with little to no impulse control. he’s always down for a fight and a challenge is always on the horizon if he goes looking for it.

Saying nothing as he came up next to his friend, holding out a lunch box where he could notice it, Sometimes one has to plan ahead for a Mori.
