hey i just started MCPHS and I wanted to ask what was the best way for you to study and is it possible to get all A in all classes?
Personally I go through notes, pay attention in class, work with other students or get tutoring if I feel the need to

Will parties be happening during welcome week this year?
Obviously
do you take summer classes?
No, it’s so expensive
Hi, high school junior here.. I'm an international student and I was looking forward to apply to mcphs but all I'm hearing is bad stuff and complaints from the students there?? Two of my friends dropped out last year and I'm terrified?? Pls comment?
Honestly if you work hard you’ll be able to make it. Don’t worry too much about others, worry about yourself and you should be okay
*Someone sent in an ask asking if people knew how hard Garafalo’s Chem final is... if you have any idea please send me an ask in response!*

I'm going to a freshman nursing student in the fall and want to live in the tree house. How many fit in a suite? Did you have a hard time finding a roommate because I am.
Hey! At tree house 4 people are in a suite, two people per room (and the occasional 3 person bedroom) I wouldn’t worry too much about finding a roommate. If you’re someone who finds the need to find a roommate before moving it, you do you. Personally I think the fun experience is just randomly getting a roommate because it’s fun. As long as you say you want treehouse on the rooming survey you have to take you should be put there anyway. On the other hand, if you insist on finding a roommate yourself I would go on the Facebook page for your year where tons of students post facts about themselves because that way they can make friends/find roommates. Put yourself out there and say you’re looking for a roommate and things about yourself. *I do warn you that a lot of people who find their roommate on Facebook end up realizing they don’t like them real quickly* (drama drama drama)Â
Hi there! Do you happen to know anything about summer classes within the pre dental/dental hygiene program, or know anyone that is in it? Thanks so much!
Hi! Unfortunately I don’t know specifics because I don’t have a close friend in the program, but it’s just another semester of classes. Nursing majors also have to do summer classes and it’s literally just another semester to them. Sorry I couldn’t be of much help.
Are we allowed to go to any other COF libraries besides Wentworth?
Hmmm, sorry for the late response, but I’ve been to Simmons and I’ve heard Massart has a really nice one (it’s one of the floors in the dining hall building) but otherwise ehÂ
Do you have any advice /study guides/old exams from anatomy 2 and or chemistry 1? I have to retake both of those classes. Particularly with gosselin or broadbelt ?
Unfortunately I don’t, but if anyone else does please let me know! Chem 1 should be easy though, I should have a fewÂ
LMAO when someone in my class is wearing Alexander Wang, Cartier, Celine, Canada Goose, and probably some other obscure designers.... #INTERNATIONALS (for those of you who don’t know fashion at all.... basically this one outfit was a minimum of $6,000)

What do you mean that people here are try hards?
This is probably going to sound horrible, but a lot of people try too hard to be cool. I absolutely hate people who brag about their wealth or grades because there’s no point and that makes up at least 90% of our student population
Are the classes in mcphs doable? bc I might go there during the fall but I just read some reviews and they made it seem like it was impossible to even pass a class
Definitely doable if you put in the effort. There are some classes, such as American Culture or Expository Writing that are easy just a lot of busy work, but for your core classes I don’t understand why a lot of people think they can shrug it off. For the majority thinking that what you learned in high school will help you get an easy A is not true, so get that thought process out of your head. Otherwise don’t worry. Again, don’t forget I’m a second year, so it’s not like I’ve seen my professional classes yet haha
Why do you not like mcphs?
I think answers vary between people, but personally I think the administration is not very helpful. I’ve gone to them multiple times whether it was about classes or financial aid to no avail. I’ve attempted bringing MULTIPLE clubs to the school, tried making appointments and was canceled on. A lot of the people in this school are try hards because they most likely were weird in high school, not that there’s anything wrong with that. People tend to flaunt their money, and it’s just one of those things like good for you, but nobody really cares? Obviously I knew what I was signing up for coming here, but not having housing is really rough-- it’s one thing for grad students, but for second years it’s questionable. And I really wish we had sports teams and stuff because seeing my friends at big schools like UCONN or UMASS Amherst having all this school pride... meanwhile we’re just a professional school. In the end it’s about making the most out of what you have
The average accepted GPA for internal PA student is 3.4-3.6
Thank you so much for the response!
How do you find places to party?
I made a post about this awhile ago:Â http://mcphs-girl.tumblr.com/post/138427860138/going-out-and-partying
But basically you find parties through: friends, tinder, walking around mission hill and walking into basements

To the question about PA hours... I'm a 3rd yr premed PA student, and I got accepted yesterday. I don't have patient care hrs, but I do have some healthcare experience hrs, not much though. I do have pretty good grades. They accepted almost all internal students. They only rejected a small amount of people last year.
Thank you so much for clarifying. Also curious (for my own sake...) do you know the average GPA of students who were accepted.Â
do you know what the acceptance rate for internal applicant is for the PA program?
I don’t know specifics, but I’ve read something along the lines of 100 students getting accepted (all around, not just MCP) and around 30-50? THere’s definitely leniency being from our school, but that doesn’t mean you should still be prepared to beat out other kids from other schools
