“Maybe,” Billie replied quietly, shooting the other a look when she called her a troll. While Belinda wanted to apologize, she was a little too proud to say it outright. “I hope I still got your order right,” she opted. It wasn’t rude and showed that Billie had invited her to make amends. Or she hoped that’s what it translated to. “Uh–” her eyes found their way down to her own coffee. While Billie was incredibly talented, she had incredibly terrible luck too. “It seemed to have gone well but, I still haven’t heard back. I’m sure they were meant to release callbacks by now,” the redhead admitted, looking back up at Mal in a disheartened manner.

Mal took a sip of the coffee in front of her and let out a satisfying hum when the warm liquid reached her throat, “You got it right, so therefore you are forgiven, though you would have been on my better side if you had brought me a blueberry muffin to go on the side of this.” She teased the other. When she spoke about not getting a callback the smile on her face faltered ever so slightly at the others clear disappointment. “I’m pretty sure they say in that world that if you don’t hear back, it wasn’t meant to be and something greater will come along shortly afterwards. Just don’t give up. I mean I get it-..” Mal shrugged, as someone who wanted to share her art with their world, she was also faced with a lot of critique because it wasn’t classed as traditional of what was normally seen on Auradon.

“Come, come over here!” Maggie invited the other as she opened up her umbrella that was big enough to cover them both. “I feel like such a mom right now but you could catch a cold.”

“Well you sound more motherly than my own Mom, so I think I can deal.”Mal sniffed, making her way under the umbrella as the cold water started to seep into her skin making her realise just how cold she was, “I should have brought a coat. Or just stayed inside, I didn’t need ice cream and strawberries that much.”

“I really try not to let vanity get the best of me, but you know what- I look good.” Mal commented, checking out her reflection in the mirror as she examined the work that she had done. “Not quite as good as Dizzy’s work, but it’s not bad-.. you look great too, we should treat ourselves more often.” She smiled, turning to look at the other.

Mal wasn’t proud of the noise that had left her mouth, the shriek seemed to echo around the quiet hallway and she could feel people staring at her to cause her cheeks to go pink, turning around her embarrassment quickly turning anger as she saw who it was. “Have you really not played enough tricks on me in your lifetime?”

“So is this your way of making up being a total troll to me the other day?” Mal smirked as she sipped from the latte the other had given her, still amazed how something could taste so good and give her the boost of energy she needed for her classes and duties. “But on a serious note, how did your audition go?”

“This isn’t some sort of voodoo, evil spirit, raising demon crap is it?” Mal asked the other, frowning slightly at the set up in front of her after the others insistence that she meet with him. “You better not be up to anything bad, Dante- don’t make me regret coming here.”

“I’ve heard his got quite a temper when pushed too far.” Ben mused as he wrapped an arm around the others waist. “Oh really?” he grinned widely as he placed a kiss on top of the others head. “I think you should tell him what you like more often.” he chuckled softly before spinning her around in his arms. “Defiantly spoiled, maybe we should put you on more restrictions.” 

“Well I’ve heard she can be a right dragon at times, so I guess they’re a perfect match.” Mal commented, simply leaning into the others touch, finding comfort, safety and contentment in it. “Really.” She answered, chuckling softly as she nodded, “I’ll make a note to do just that, though I don’t want to make it so his head get’s so big his crown doesn’t fit.” She added, giggling as the other spun her around. “I vote that we don’t do that, simply because I do secretly enjoy being spoiled.”

“Because your way is politer.” He explained with a roguish grin on his lips. “You’ll get there. Things like that can be learned. Formalities. What to say. What to do. It’s the heart for it you have to have. At least according to my Mom. She quotes my great grandmother all the time.” In some ways he heard so much about her he wished he knew her. Well… he had but not in anyway he could really remember much. “Yeah… I know your name but it’s good to meet you in person.”

“Well that might be all good for most, but I don’t think I like the idea of being told what to say and what to do. It hasn’t worked out well for people in the past, it’s not going to slide with me now either.” Mal told the other, wondering just how many of the kids in Auradon had been told what to do in life and what to say in order to be a perfect prince or princess and hope that one day they may become a ruler.

“Woah… well you’re original aren’t you.” Harry answered with a snort of amusement. “Wake me up when you get some of your actual sass back. This is pathetic and boring.” He drawled out. “ Queen hm? We’ll see. Better start acting less like a spoiled brat then pretty, and more dignified because so far you are failing miserably.”

“So is your whining. But then again, like father like son.” Mal commented, still looking bored about the other being around her and wondering just how long he was going to stick around and bother her. “People seem to be fine with the way I’m doing things so far, I don’t need to change to please them and I’m hardly being a spoiled brat, you’re simply jealous. But then again, nothing new there.”

“Friends,” she echoed. “Well friendship can be a fickle thing but I guess calling you one wouldn’t be such a bad thing,” Billie teased the other with a knowing grin. While the redhead loved her friends, she always had a bit of an odd way of showing it. “Okay good example,” Belinda complimented with a nod. “That was a fantastic and very convincing performance. One so convincing that it started to turn a little method towards the end there no?” she wondered with a smile, knowing Mal had definitely experience a self-reform.

"Yeah, it’s what you call people you chose to spend small or long spurts of time with.” Mal explained, “Is that because it comes with perks? What with being the fiancee of the future King and all.” Mal bowed ever so slightly when the other commended her on her performance, “Why thank you, I think I did a rather stellar job myself. And I don’t know what you’re talking about, I haven’t changed since being here, still the same girl from the Isle that I’ve always been.”

“You’re certainly spinning quite the web of contradictions, Mal,” she remarked with a chuckle. “A strawberry lover who has never tried them with anything else? I mean you are certainly missing out! Even if you decide that you don’t like the toppings better, you should still try!”

“Better to say them to someone who understands where I’m coming from then saying them to someone who thinks I’m trying to offend them.” Mal shrugged, that and it wasn’t like she had many close friends who came from Auradon. “Wy ruin something that is already perfect?” Mal shot back with a smirk on her face, “But I’ll give it a go, especially since you say I’m missing out.”

“Well your subjects certainly have a way they wish to view you. With a new title comes new expectations, sister,” he replied smoothly, his voice always coming out calm and collected. “Perhaps I should be offended at the underestimation of my abilities, but I’m amused instead. It’ll only make it more satisfying when I prove you wrong.”

“And yet I’m not willing to change who I am to fit expectations, people wanted me on the throne from the way they saw me with Ben, I think they’ll be fine with me not changing into frilly dresses and making sure I go out of my way not to speak my mind in case I offend people.” Mal responded, many people from the Isle were expecting her to change, to become one of the Princesses that you found on Auradon and a lot of them didn’t believe her when she said that wasn’t going to happen. “Do you blame me for being cautious? You only seemed to come out of your wormhole when I was in power, our father’s doing I suppose? But sure, try to prove me wrong, I doubt it’s actually going to happen.”

“I mean considering those events with Phillip and Aurora’s daughter, I think it’s safe to say we are all capable of good or evil. Wouldn’t you agree?” Magnolia pointed out. “That would be much appreciated,” she smiled genuinely at the other. “Do you eat them with sugar or Nutella? Or should I just bring you strawberries in their purest of forms?”

“I couldn’t agree more.” Mal told the other, “Sometimes I think we’re more good then them, they’ve been spoiled and can sometimes be pretty entitled. Well some of them- not all. In fact most of them are fine-.. I’m really digging myself a deeper hole here, aren’t I?” Mal chuckled, running a hand through her hair. Her eyes went a little wide at the others word, “I haven’t tried them with anything else on them- I didn’t think they could get better? Can they?”
