“too much is subjective therefore it doesn’t matter.” true love was not in the cards for a man like julian but leading the princess on, giving her crumbs here and there could still prove beneficial. nothing sealed a person’s devotion like blind love and he was more than confident he could ask her to do almost anything and she would if she thought it would get him to love her back. “he’s not much fun either. no doubt he’s against the big takeover, i wouldn’t be surprised if he’s part of that movement rumors are starting on about.” things were still very quiet but he heard a couple whispers of gatherings of people against the new queen. for now it was all talk and nothing concrete but being close with an ak and a princess at that with a dedicated brother, he had a feeling she might give him the biggest clue if there was an validity to those rumors. that was if her brother was actually still speaking with her after she made her allegiances clear.

They may not be fond of him but he actually admired the creatures since they had captured the affection of a woman like Helena.

      “love the new look,” he remarked with a grin. the princess that he had lied to, betrayed in every sense of the word and crushed her heart, she was standing in front of him with nothing but longing in her dark eyes. it was a powerful feeling to have somebody so enamored with you even after he had proved she was nothing more than a pawn to him. it was also annoying at times when she got persistent about procuring his affection again. “what’s big bro think of it?” the older white had never liked him even when he still had his atrocious mask of goodness on so he took great joy in imaging how much the man must hate him now.

“Maybe, maybe I just like a challenge,” he mused with a crooked grin. It was less about merit and fully to do with excitement. Julian treated life like an action movie and it made him a danger to anyone that failed to follow his narrative. Not unless they made the narrative more interesting. “That’s where you and I just don’t click, but whatever. There will be plenty of death in the aftermath of everything, whether I cause it or not.” This whole takeover would lead to nothing but bloodshed, he was sure of that and while he kept his mouth shut in front of the sea witch, he highly doubted she would make it out alive. Heavy was the head that wore the crown.

“And that’s a generous offer but I’ve also told you I have to at least attempt my own evil scheme before I take hand outs.” Not that it really mattered to Julian in the end. If someone wanted to question how he acquired whatever land he would someday rule, he would have many answers to give and none would be given with mercy. “Trading and defense. If we’re lucky the chaos won’t ever settle, not completely. If it does I’ll just start a war or something when the peace gets boring.” The words sounded careless and like he had given them the same amount of thought a child does as to which toy they would play. However, he meant every word and he was most dangerous when boredom encroached upon him.

      “ yeah, so the whole marriage plot fell through since uma took over but i figured -- ” he paused, pointing to the rest of her uneaten fries with a you gonna eat that look ? before he took a few. “ anyways, i figured since we can basically do whatever we want without the boy king or his regime getting in the way, i would just take my pick of whatever kingdom i wanted.” finishing his explanation, he chewed on the fries with the disposition of starving man even though he had already eaten all of his own burger and fries.
