"no worries, i'm just shading this bit on your face and it's DIFFICULT" she muses, looking back down at her sketchbook once more. charlie found portraits hard to do, she never wanted to upset the person she was drawing, so she rarely did them. picking up her pencil one more, she looked back at him, "i think i'm quite close. give me like twenty minutes, then i think i'll be all done. deal?".
"i'm really sorry... i'm just getting a bit tired over sitting in the same position", harri shyly admitted, regaining composure. "a break would be amazing... maybe i could show you the designs i've been working on and you could please give me your feedback?"
"yeah, i KNOW. but it's kinda the whole point of a portrait" charlie laughs a little, putting down her notebook. "let's break then" she nods, standing up and making her way over to her couch, "oh sure! let me see what you've got, i'm sure it's great".

Bijan set the plate of Baghlava on the rustic stone table and slowly took a seat. Propping his walking cane up against the table, careful that it wouldn't fall. "Did you get the coffee?" he asked, slightly distracted as he rubbed his hands together. "They really should create more public places with some kind of heating," he commented, smiling at the other. "Feel free to take some Baghlava, it's an original recipe from Tabriz, slightly like the Turkish version."
charlie sits down, placing bijan's coffee cup in front of him, "course i did. got your usual". she takes a sip from her own, she needed this, if charlie was being honest, she was still half asleep, "they should. but they won't, you're just going to have to layer up" she teases, smiling back at him. charlie looks down at the food, "shit, that's cool. i've never had baghlava, but it looks delicious".

"uh yeah, it's pretty fuckin' awful, full of drunk people. not for me" charlie shrugs her shoulders. she'd never been a fan of new years, it always fell flat for her, she much preferred being in her own space. charlie rolls her eyes at the other's words, "well if you look around it's busy, this was the only empty space".

charlie was born on the 1st april 1998 in Indianapolis, born to two people who weren't really ready to be parents.
her parents were both very young, they decided to have a baby, to save their relationship but it didn't work.
her dad dipped when she was just a few months old, he couldn't handle the sleepless nights & charlie's constant crying, he didn't even leave a note.
from then on it was just charlie and her mother, which suited her just fine. she was also babysat a lot by her grandma, think gilmore girls but with proper boundaries and things are less dramatic.
you could always find her scribbling and doodling in a notebook or painting on something that she shouldn't aka her mother's living room walls. plus, her hands and clothes were always covered in paint.
but her mother didn't mind, she was glad that charlie had found something that she wanted to do.
art has always been her main passion!! that's always what she'd wanted to do!!
charlie's mother and grandmother supported her dreams and once she'd finished high school, she went off to college & studied illustration.
after she graduated she was unsure what she wanted to do, so she moved home for a little bit. but she was drawn in by the bright lights of new york.
charlie worked her ass off for a little bit and then she moved into an apartment in the bronx.
her apartment is small, cosy, and messy but it's hers and she adores it!!
she currently works for an indie illustration agency, doing graphics for brands, drawing illustrations for kids books etc.
but this doesn't really pay the bills, even though it's her passion. so she works as a waitress as well.
charlie dreams of becoming a comic book writer, when she actually has some free time, she's been working on her own zine.
she's published a couple of copies of it, and handed it out to friends but she still wants to make it big!!
lastly pls call her charlie, if you call her charlotte, she will get very very very grumpy!!
