        ‘ not me, no, but if there were a debate team here i’m sure you’d be on it. ’

      “whats a debate team?”

         ‘ i––– i do ! but you… why ? ’

      “i just... wanted to be nice and surprise you. is it too much?”

        ‘ my ex liked it, too, but i’m still sticking to my statement that we’d be better off without it. i mean, we made it this far, right? ’

      “i GUESS. but we don’t have paper to even make notes. you always have a place for notes on the internet. these arguments are pretty good, right? or am i even changing your mind at all?”

        ‘ you’re thinking of a town hall, not a reincarnation of an online purgatory. ’

      “my sister really liked myspace, because news travelled fast, but i don’t think anyone would ACTUALLY show up to town hall for news. they’d always be checking for updates online, though!”

        ‘ of course i do ! why wouldn’t i ? we haven’t, –– in a while. it got BORING, quiet. well, not too quiet ! you know––– the voices. anything ! i’m up for anything. ’

      “well i’m up for anything too! we can go exploring, if you want! i know it’s what we usually do, but there’s not... much to do. or we could go back to OUR house... i don’t know. do you have any better ideas?”

        ‘ like what, use zombies to generate power? i mean, that’s not THAT BAD of an idea, but they’d sooner eat us than work for us. we should probably use that power for something a little more beneficial than myspace, don’t you think? ’

      “myspace is important! you can share important stuff on there, and i think that’s what this town needs. a better communication system.”

          ‘ OH. do you have to ? i thought we could, maybe… you know, hang out ! ’

     “i don’t have to, if you want to hang out. what do you want to do?”

        ‘ i’m sure someone will come up with something if time ever permits. ’

      “maybe ZOMBIE POWER would become a thing. imagine if valdez got something like myspace. wouldn’t have to be electronic, but it would be kind of cool.”

       ‘ well, you didn’t really blurt it out. i blurt things out ! a lot. nothing important, though. mostly, ya know –– bull. random thoughts & what not. –– – yeah, i’m OKAY with that. i’m… completely fine with it, actually ! wouldn’t say that if iwasn’t. maybe iwould’ve. i don’t know. but i mean it, promise. ’

     “thanks, sammy. uh, you’re actually making feel a lot better. and i’m sorry if i disappear for a little. i just need to figure this all out.”

        ‘ the way things used to be, i guess; running water, electricity, that sort of thing. ’

      “those were nice. i kind of wish we developed some sort of technology around here. maybe we’re just too distracted right now.”

      ‘ when else would you have said it. me ? no, i don’t… why would i ? ’

      “maybe you thought it was weird... i could have told you when... i don’t know... i just didn’t blurt it out like an idiot.  you’re okay... that i’m in- that i like you but i’m a boy?”

        ‘ i didn’t really have a “ happy home ” so, no. i don’t know about you, though, if you do miss the house or the people that’s fine – – – people miss what they miss. ’

      “well, what DO you miss?”

          ‘ why not ? do you… take it back ? is that why ? –– of course ! always. ’

      “i don’t think you can take stuff like that back, but i still wouldn’t even if i could. i think i just need to learn the right time to say things. did... did you want me to take it back?”

        ‘ there’s no point in dwelling on things from the past, especially that. but to answer your question, no – – – i don’t miss that house at all. ’

      “i guess i shouldn’t really miss mine either, but maybe it’d be better than being... here. do you miss the people living there?”

        ‘ i–– i’m not mad ! why would i be mad ? ’

      “’cause it was dumb of me to do that. i just... i shouldn’t have done that. still friends, right?”
