Brendon breathed a sigh of relief as he squeezed Kate's hand. "Sounds like a good plan of action and I know you love working with your patients. They're lucky to have you, I'm lucky to have you." He truly meant it. He would be lost without Kate. He would be miserable. "I think I'm gonna go take a nap. You're in safe hands with Bobby Flay and Gordon Ramsay there." He teased a little.

Kate shook her head. “I’m not in the best terms with my mother. Dr Eloise Hastings, rings a bell?” She asked and Robby laughed. “Like hell it does. Your mother is a rockstar.” Kate nodded briefly before then adding. “Professionally, probably. Privately? I beg to differ on that.” She muttered before slowly walking to sit on the couch.

Kate smiled at Brendon's words, feeling her heart melting. She caressed his face as he mentioned the need to take a nap. "Just call us if you need anything, okay?" She asked, her green hues looking at him with love and care. As she looked at Robby and Abbott, Kate smiled at them and took another sip of her herbal tea. She looked outside and noticed the rain falling hard.

"The oncologist did try to put me on sick leave and said I could use it if I felt I needed to." He answered softly, seeing Kate's worry. "And I think it wouldn't hurt to get the first few sessions over with, but if I agree then you need to to carry on as normal or at least reduce your hours." He compromised a little as he squeezed her hand.

Kate nodded, finding the compromise fair. She knew that she needed to work. She was putting her needs far behind and working would be for her a way to have her own space and focus on other patients she doesn't know personally. "Until I go on maternity leave then." She smiled at Brendon before then looking back at Robby.

Brendon instantly took Kate's hand and pulled her into his body, lovingly and protectively. "Baby shark needs to behave themselves and let mama rest and relax for a while." He said with a warm smile. "I'll come with you to the appointment because it's made when we both have a day off."

Kate listened to Robby's words and looked at Brendon in the eyes. "I think he's right, love. You should truly take this time for yourself. Work will wait." She said seriously. The last thing Kate wanted was to see Park coming back too early and then suffering from exhaustion or even worse. "I believe your oncologist will anyway put you on sick leave." She looked back at Robby. "Right?"

Brendon was mildly aware of three sets of eyes on him as he sat next to Kate at the breakfast bar, kissing Kate's head as she leaned on his shoulder and his hand was on her thigh. "I know, but I didn't want you making a trip just for me." He smiled encouragingly as he pressed another kiss to her head as Robby placed the herbal tea in front of him. "Thanks, Robby. So you're cooking for us?" He couldn't help but tease a little and he knew that they weren't helping for him. They were helping Kate. They were her family.

Kate looked at Abbott and wiped her eyes with the tissue. “Geez, those hormones will be the death of me.” She chuckled as she nodded at his words. “I don’t blame you, no one wants the Shark as a patient. He’s a tough one.” She chuckled.

Valentino shook his head as the topic of dating apps came up, a look of mild disbelief crossing his features. "Men on dating apps are disgusting. Most of them are only after one thing," he explained, speaking with the confidence of someone who had heard enough stories to form a strong opinion. He had never spent much time on those apps himself, but his friends certainly had, and over the years they had shared countless tales of awkward encounters, misleading profiles, and people who seemed interested in little beyond fleeting attention. From what Valentino had heard, genuine intentions often felt rare. A polite smile tugged at the corners of his mouth, and he leaned back slightly in his chair. "If you're staying at nice places, I can look out for some good guys," he said with a grin, clearly trying to be helpful rather than judgmental. He lifted one shoulder in a casual shrug. "Ones with money who treat you nice would be good." There was a teasing note in his voice, but sincerity underneath it. Valentino believed that if someone was going to pursue Kate's attention, they should at least be respectful, stable, and capable of offering her the kindness and security she deserved.

Kate smiled and nodded. "Oh, they definitely are. Or they pretend something else only to attract women and show their true nature. Happened to me and now you know the reason why you were hired." She confessed, her smile being slightly weak as she looked down for a few seconds. As he offered her to look out for some good guys, Kate laughed and shook her head. "Oh, no. I am fine. I believe I am slightly traumatised by my past experience so unless the guy truly proves me he's anything but evil, I guess I will stay single for a long time." She was very vulnerable, knew that this was definitely a trauma she had to overcome one day. "I don't even care if he doesn't have money, as long as I know that his heart is pure and his intentions are genuine, I'll be okay with that." She looked back at Valentino in the eyes before adding. "But I guess I am only dreaming. Men nowadays aren't like this. They love to dominate, show that women are inferior. I miss the old times where men had manners and they would court women."
