So I built a working Tardis in minecraft, this is my second attempt at doing something like this, but they have added some things that made it much easier and far more functional than my first Tardis on the old server.
Unfortunately this isn't on the server because I had to use the command block to do it and the server doesn't use any "cheats" so I built the whole thing in my single player test map.
The way it works is that I'm using the /tp command in a command block to teleport a player to the inside of the Tardis (built all underground), and back outside again anytime they step through the door. I also wired it so that the beacon is disabled when you're not inside so that you can't see it from the surface.Â
I also wired up 4 separate command blocks to the consol that will change the time of day (TIME TRAVEL... kind of) It's kind of neat because the clocks on the consol all change when it's doing it's thing.Â
Anyway, I don't plan to post from my test world often but this was too cool not to share.Â
I stumbled across a screenshot I took from the old server when I was exploring. Minecraft can be so stunning sometimes with the random stuff it generates.Â
Built a spider farm to collect string from a surface spider spawner in the desert, I left some space so that if you want to attack them yourself you can use it to farm spider eyes as well. I came up with the design for the giant spider myself, but I borrowed ideas for the trap from various youtube tutorials. The room is wired to be disabled to prevent server slowdown when I'm not using it.Â
Built an egg farm a few days ago, had the whole thing up and running in about an hour.Â
