          digits slowly comb through thick,  dark tresses     /     fingernails gently scraping the demon’s scalp as she soothes the beast,  seemingly impossible to tame unless she’s with the therapist,  or trixie.      a lot of whiskey at the bar managed to bring mazikeen down to this level at this time of the night,  and linda is sitting on the couch in her office with maze’s head perched upon her lap.     it isn’t until she hears her breathing get heavier as she’s speaking that linda even notices she’s fallen asleep,     “maze ?”     glancing down at the sleeping demon,  linda removes her hand from maze’s hair,     “oh    —-    i can’t    —–    maze,  where i am gonna    ——”    there’s no response and she releases a heavy sigh,    “—-    this is fine.”     /     @mazikaen
