a hollowing within that echos for more

meets the deafening silence one cannot ignore

illuminating her loneliness by the pale moonlight unsure of the way, let misery be her guide

charting her course through the tears that she cried

drowning in thoughts of what could have been

just a few notes more, before her song comes to an end.

(the shortest summary of the story version) once upon a time there was a sailor that navigated the darkened seas in search of #truelove. Became enchanted by the #songoftheSiren falling in love with a #mermaid ... ? #NOPE!

Upon realizing this creature was more like an octopus, the sailor #disgusted, knew this wasn’t his true love & attempted to sail away… but his ship was stuck and it was too late. Falling deeply in love with the Sailor, the Siren gave him 2 choices.
