I also like to think that whenever kenpachi catches feelings for someone he turns into a huge idiot when he’s around them. Like suddenly he forgets how to talk to them and he gets all choked up and awkward.

Additionally, I like to imagine that he becomes quite grumbly and irritable, much to yumichika and ikkaku’s disdain. Like all kenpachi thinks about is that one person and when someone (i.e. yumichika/ikkaku) interrupts him, he’s prone to get irritated.

I also think that kenpachi is bad at sensing reciprocated feelings so even if the person he’s interested shares the same feelings, he doesn’t know it. So instead of telling that person, he just kinda shoves the feelings down which causes him to be more irritable. Eventually I think yumi/ikkaku have to make an ultimatum of like “if you don’t tell this person how you’re feeling, we’re gonna tell them for you.”

But I also think that if kenpachi told the other person that he was romantically interested in them and they weren’t interested, then he’d take it pretty good and leave it be. But on the other hand, if he told them and they said they felt the same way, then he’d become the biggest softie when they’re alone together.
