A potential what-if/retelling of Project: Eden's Garden's Chapter 2.

Hello, hello! This is the first part of a what-if/rewrite AU of Project: Eden's Garden that picks up from the canon Chapter 1.

Most of the fic was written/planned prior to the leaks, so some stuff may be different. This includes:

Jett reveals his face way earlier compared to 'canon'; and his appearance is different compared to canon (may edit in the future)

Takes place during the events of Diana's 18th Birthday

The victim and the killer are different

No one dies via bread poisoning

The chapters are titled after songs/lyrics from different media; there are exceptions to this.

The motive is different and plays a role in the case, and in future chapters in "Arcadia"

Besides Damon, major focus is to Diana and Mark

Alright! I got the oneshot ready for Damon's birthday! It's part of a series called "Echoes": a non-Killing Game AU! Enjoy!

Welcome back to the BTS of "A Song of Silence and Blood"! Finally, we're gonna start with some fun facts with the main chapters, starting with the very first chapter: Recollection and Regret!

Like I mentioned in the Fire Emblem section, this is named after a track from Fire Emblem Three Houses, and this track often plays in certain supports.

Apparently, the writing team in P:EG and I had similar ideas where Damon has a nightmare involving Eva the day after the trial, except in here, he's in Eva's execution and attempts to save her, only to fail and watch her fall. And then he's back in the Boiler Room with Wolfgang. Lovely.

Anyway, I was always gonna start the chapter with a nightmare sequence for Damon and rudely wake up in his own room, not in Kai's room. In fact, Damon and Kai are gonna stay in the former's room for the majority of Arcadia and there will be instances his room will be altered over the course of the AU.

What did change was Desmond appearing earlier compared to the outline. In the original, Kai was meant to follow Damon to the courtyard as both had trouble falling asleep. This was altered to Damon and Desmond having a moment to bond (an alt take on an FTE I guess).

And it's also an excuse to start the great friendship between Damon and Desmond that'll grow throughout the series and will totally not crash out, grow violent and toxic.

And yes, I gotta add a Kaimon moment here. Yeah, Kai got pushed to near the end of the chapter instead of the majority of the chapter. Don't worry, there's more Kaimon moments and they'll be sweet and not gonna tear people's hearts into a million pieces.

Anyway, would this surprise anyone that this isn't the first chapter I wrote for "A Song of Silence and Blood"? In fact, this was the second one I wrote, but the first one that was completed. And as of now, this is the shortest main chapter overall.

And that's it for 2-1. When we go over the BTS for the chapters, it'll be 2-2's turn!

Welcome back to another BTS of "A Song of Silence and Blood"! This time, I wanna show off some references from one of my favorite video game series: Fire Emblem!

I've been a fan of the series since Awakening and I thought it was fun to spread some references here and there in the fic!

The most obvious one is the title, "A Song of Silence and Blood". It came as part of the lyrics from Lost in Thoughts All Alone

Sing with me a song of silence and blood The rain falls, but can't wash away the mud Within my ancient heart dwells madness and pride Can no one hear my cry

Some of the chapters are named after official tracks from the Fire Emblem series. Here are the ones so far:

2-1: Recollection and Regret (Three Houses)

2-14: "Don't speak her name!" (Awakening)

Intermission 4: Id (Serenity) (Awakening)

2-15: Gear Up For... (Heroes)

2-17: A Lady's Mirror (Fates)

2-18: Land Below (Fates)

Even the 1st hiatus announcement that was titled "......" came from Fire Emblem Awakening.

As for references in the fic itself, here are a couple of notable examples.

In 2-2, Diana wakes up, and Grace appears in her room to get her to the Dining Hall instead of letting Cassidy do it, for the sake of not hearing Cassidy scream something stupid. One of them was "Eldritch Smackdown", which is a line one of the characters in Fire Emblem Fates, Owain Odin, can say when activating a skill/getting a critical hit.

In 2-3, Desmond received three rings from the Tozu Gachapon, all of which reference the Emblem Rings from Fire Emblem Engage. The rings that he has, in order, are the Ring of the Lady of the Plains (Lyn), the Ring of the Instructor (Male Byleth), and the Ring of the Princess Exalt (Lucina).

2-4 has Mark play a piano rendition of Fire Emblem Three Houses' main theme, Edge of Dawn, alongside singing parts of the lyrics.

The rings Desmond won back in 2-3 make a reappearance in 2-8 where he slides them under the door where Mark was hiding. Mark ends up keeping Lyn's ring. And funny thing, in the game Lyn is from, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade (or Sword), she meets a tactician at the start. The tactician can be named by the player, but the default name: Mark. I didn't mean to plan that until after I published the chapter. Huh.

There's also a lot of Three Houses references in Intermission 5, such as Hresvelg University (named after Edelgard von Hresvelg), Crimson Eagle (shout out to the Black Eagles), and the Aegir Hotel (named after Ferdinand von Aegir).

And that's all I have for today! I'll admit, I had fun putting Fire Emblem references here and there, and hopefully, some of you might have caught them.

Welcome back to the BTS! Looking back at the fic so far and what I know based on the leaks out, there are some parts I went... Uh... Damn. That's kinda funny!

Here are some examples:

There was a planned nightmare sequence Damon has of Eva in Chapter 2, and in this fic, Damon has one, albeit it's different compared to canon.

Also in Chapter 2, Kai doesn't want to sleep alone and asks Damon if he can stay in his room. This also happens in 2-1, and Kai even got his belongings to move in. Little spoilers, Kai and Damon stay in Damon's room for the majority of "Arcadia".

But the part that actually made me lose it was in 2-4. In the leaks, it's revealed that Wolfgang isn't a real lawyer. So the line "Ultimate Lawyer? More like Ultimate Fraud." is way more funnier now that the leaks are out! And from Mark of all people! My god...!

And then there's the part in 2-6 where Mark just outright states he hates Wolfgang and mocks Diana for admiring Wolfgang.

Hello there! I recently announced I'll be doing an AU series of Project: Eden's Garden to give it the proper closure it deserves. I'm aware it's gonna take years to complete, but it'll be done eventually!

However, since most of "Arcadia" was planned out prior to the leaks, and this is an AU, certain things will be different compared to what might have happened had Project: Eden's Garden continued.

So, here's what's to expect from Arcadia:

Tozu and Mara are still running the game; they won't be participants in the middle of the game

None of the students are the mastermind

The 3rd chapter will not have double victims, double killers murdering one victim, or two killers murdering two people but only the first one counts (for the sake of my sanity)

There are multiple games running outside the one the characters are in (gets mentioned)

The Death order will differ, alongside the survivors and the Tree Room facilities

Chapter 6 isn't going to be the traditional 'find the truth and rule out the mastermind'

None of the victims die via suicide

The series is overall rated M on AO3, so please read with caution if you're under 18.

The chapter titles will be themed around the fic title (EX: A Song of Silence and Blood chapter titles are based around songs or song lyrics)
