Writers have two modes and they are "i haven't written in three weeks and i am rotting from the inside and everything feels wrong and i don't know who i am anymore" and "i wrote for four hours straight and forgot to eat and it's dark outside and when did that happen and i feel like a god" and there is nothing in between. no chill. no medium setting. just famine or feast and a very confused nervous system.

pjeg really forces you to take a step back and examine your biases because so many people, myself included, were introduced to cassidy's communist ideology and understood that her beliefs don't reflect true marxism, but because she is a comic relief character or a streamer or, for some, a woman, we don't engage with her political ideology on its own terms until playing her FTEs, where damon remarks that her beliefs are well-researched and consistent
how many people, before reaching her FTEs, just wrote her off as a failed/fake marxist? how many people saw her and thought "the ussr wasn't real communism so cassidy isn't a real communist" without any awareness of the praxis of what she's glamourising? not to say that she's all in on leninism (though the way she describes her wealth does reflect vanguard party theory), but she is a tankie. it's interesting that people jump to her being performative or uninformed, sometimes even making these claims about the writers, before even starting to engage with ideologies that closer fit the beliefs she describes
she's the comic relief, but that doesn't mean she's not a serious character intended to have serious beliefs
