yk now that I'm saying shit I guess I'll just keep saying shit. yolanda garcia was not "ruined" in s2. garsantos was not "ruined." it was never going to fucking be a healthy relationship and it will probably end. yolanda is not secretly soft fluffy teddy bear. yolanda is unflinchingly rude and mean on multiple occasions. "nepo baby" to victoria and "cleaning up your mess" to baran etc etc. even in her "nicer" moments it's still just sarcastic teasing. "rabbit-bitch".
yes, INCLUDING towards trinity. her "softest" moments with trinity in s1 was flirting. and btw, guys, some people flirt with you because *gasp* they wanna fuck you. it does not always equate to secretly down bad gooey romantic feelings. are we completely fucking forgetting the "you're trouble" scene? where yolanda talked over her about langdon's drug addiction and made trinity feel like it was HER FAULT for uncovering it?
fanon yolanda garcia and fanon garsantos have never existed. yolanda garcia is an interesting character, but she is MEAN. she's mean. she's fucking mean. why does she have to be some secretly softened heart of gold. why can't you let a woman be flawed and mean?? oh my fucking god! "call a therapist" that was mean! that was fucking mean!
she's actually so fucking interesting because of her meanness. it does seem to come from a place of getting respect and paid attention to. hardening up to earn that in a workplace that frequently respects men more than women. plus we could 100% argue she exhibits internalized misogyny. she's normally harder on women than she is on men. which is REALISTIC and happens to a LOT of women, especially those in higher positions/jobs with a lot of men etc.
everybody who wants a "mean femme" or likes when a woman is a "bitch" suddenly cannot handle it when a woman is actually fucking mean. jfc. stop treating women like perfect porcelain dolls. garcia is mean. that's okay. garsantos is messy and toxic and not good for trinity. that's okay. it's realistic, it's interesting. you thought the pitt was gonna give sweet fluffy romance? get real.
it checks out for both of their characters, how it's going. trinity accepting poor treatment because of her tendency to SH, probably thinking she "deserves" it, and wanting something casual because she's avoidant— but still wanting some sort of relationship because she's lonely. yolanda who likes trinity well enough, but surface level. likes to hang out with her and fuck her, but the second things get too deep, the second trinity is actually struggling, "call a therapist." even if yolanda did want more, she doesn't really want trinity. because trinity has issues that yolanda does not have much empathy for.
it's interesting and it's good and it's 100% a continuation of s1 dynamics. but you just want your perfectly domestic little lesbian couple to be canon instead of picking a different fucking ship. like I promise you that you would prefer mcvadi, or barantos, or some shit. but no you have to ship the CANON ship :(( no you don't. you're mischaracterizing the fuck out of it.
