When reading a hand's value, the program checks each card name and assigns a value! This takes 40 lines of code.

Then the program checks the computer's hand value! It uses the same method as the first time, right? Conveniently called in each instance?

Okay, and then you hit and it has to recount your hand. guess what?

The same 40 lines of code again!

and then. you'll never guess. the computer hits too. and can you guess what shows its familiar face? That's right. the same 40 lines of code again babeyyyyyyyy

But! there's a silver lining!

Because the instructor, when they notice that jacks, queens, and kings are worth 11, 12, and 13 respectively, is gonna go "Ah, this poor student fucked up. They must've put the cards in a matrix and linked the cards' value to their index in the matrix, right? That's why the value is wrong!"

So. They go into the code to see how the values are determined. And you know what they see?

Those values, lovingly assigned by hand to each card with a switch case, FOUR SEPARATE TIMES. So. That was clearly on purpose, at least!!
