All I Know
Remind me of the past we once made,
Castles, crowns, thrones, and guards displayed.
All painted in pastels and cards,
You blew it away, never made me stay far.
Turn on the lights and see who you are,
You’re like an addict waiting at the bar.
But everything you said out loud,
Together is not, that is all I’m allowed.
We caught butterflies, and I fell from the cliff,
In my mind singing, ‘Please stay here, and if…’
I’ll never ask again, this is not forever,
Judged like a book cover, our ties sever.
Be there and steady,
Everything I say is all about you, ready.
So clear, clear enough to say and do,
Because, baby, you hear this, that’s all I know.
