Week 12 2025
What happened to week 8 - 11 you may ask, too much, that I got completely overwhelmed, yet nothing I can talk about.
Do a triathlon in a month week. Its Ramadhan so this is on hold
Work a little on code everyday. Nope nothing, I'm a bit disappointed in myself, but hey life happens.
Do some investment reading, and stock watching. Kind of stuck in the market as it dropped a bit. Did make some dividends, bonus shares so there is that.
Revisit projects in my head. Was waiting and working on an opportunity to crystalize. I should have kept on while that gets done or not.

Week 7 2025
It's Thaipusam week, finally got suckered into riding the scout to Thailand, just across the border. So far so good, I've already adjusted the clutch but I feel it stretches a bit in the heat, so I'll probably need to order a new clutch cable sooner or later. Will probably need touring bags and a windscreen to.

Did 10km run on Thaipusam Tuesday, that's about it, don't really want to drive to cycle but morning weekday traffic is kind of crazy, and been away most weekends.
Work a little on code everyday. Haven't coded or even done site maintenance. So that's bad. I am using learning as a procrastination tool so, I'm not completely devoid of progress.
Do some investment reading, and stock watching. Did some selling, just trying to get rid of slow movers, doubt I will hit a good target this month as I'm saturated and can't really buy anything without selling. So I'll be an investor when I'm losing, and a swing trader when I'm winning. Is that a thing?
Revisit projects in my head. I have indeed revisited these in my head, now I just need to do something about it.
Housekeeping Went away for a weekend ride with some friends, hoping to get some mojo back. Don't know if it helped, coz I lost my flying eyes glasses, and right now don't have the do$h to replace them willy nilly.

Did go to JPJ, submit PSV docs to JPJ, and pay my AWAS fines, all done, so that's moved forward. The JPJ at Galeria PJH has been updated and can handle a bit more traffic. AWAS fines are still 50% off so there's that.
Did move forward slightly on apartment selling, and the house transfer. Sell-stuff Still need to get Gen2 ready for sale. Will need to get back the other NC700, and get it reliable for sale. Still unsure of selling the virago, I'll probably do it up a bit, do some solo touring, then sell it.
Other Stuff
Green Day is upcoming, and a medical checkup, all the scooter parts have arrived. So lets see how that works out.

Was away in Permaisuri Terengganu for the post CNY weekend. Nice place empty beaches, though not safe to swim. At a point being the only person on 5km of beach kind of scared me, and I freaked out when noticing the only footprints in the sand were mine, like I was the last human on earth.

So ran 3.3km this week on, I seem demotivated, what have I been doing? Went to the driving range though, does that count lol
Work a little on code everyday. So i did get an interview coding assignment, I love these, I do so much better at these than a whiteboard algo test. So got to install Rails 8, and try out some new thing, was going to make it stimulus, remote, interactive and all that stuff, but figured I may as well do what I know well. So its good to get back to coding.

The Big Boox Guide: Chapter 06 - Speech-To-Text-To-Speech
So i used this guide to set-up text to speech on my Boox, I have issues staying focused while reading, probably undiagnosed ADHD. So I’ve setup my Boox to read to me while I read along, and used this guide to set it up. If I’m on a PC, I use Microsoft Edge Read Aloud. I’ve found success with this, hopefully it will help someone else too.

Week 3 2025
My draft didnt save, no now I'm doing this again, but yeah, a bit delayed, but I do enjoy holding myself accountable. Also noticed my weeks are of coz I started from the first week rather than first full week. What is that called? Do a triathlon in a month week. Work a little on code everyday. Still going through the Deanins Youtube Series, finished Week 1, and are now halfway into Week 2 series. Knowing that he can hammer a web app in about a week gives me hope. I'm still using this as a reason for procrastination, but hey learning. Upgraded my Asus Zenbook Windows and WSL from 20.4 to 22.04, and just realized its still running rbenv.
The windows update made it slightly better.

Did a bit better second time around, got my money back by selling half allotment so the rest is just maximising $$$.

Housekeeping Went to my apartment to pickup latest bills, but new JMB isnt ready yet, so that sucks. Traveled to the abandoned bungalow by the beach (not really but close enough), stayed two nights. Threw out the trash, and did some laundry. Met the lawyer who gave me some very good advice, and more things to work on. So actually did actual housekeeping. Although my inbox is a helluva lot taller then before. Channels PSV Done the PSV class, and got the docs, I think I need to go JPJ and get that done. No idea what that entails but will find out soon.

Digging up archives
So I needed a copy of my SPM results from eons ago. The original I lost the day I collected it, and never had a copy since.
So the way to do it is head to the moe website for salinan keputusan, just sign up, provide the necessary information, and make a MYR 40 payment that includes delivery. This should take about 2 weeks.

Lets see.
Do a triathlon in a month week. Still haven't cycled, So the Olympic requirements for a triathlon are Swim 1.5km Cycle 40km Run 10km , so thats my target right now. I thought I had targeted an IronMan which is Swim 3.9km Cycle 180.2km Run 42.2km. I was wondering why an IronMan seems so easy. lol Anyway achievement this week.... (drum roll)
0.66km swim and 12.5 walk/run. So I over achieved on the run part. Time to focus and hit some targets.
Learn something new and valuable everyday. So I diligently focused and completed Ep1 in Deanins 20 in 20 series. Most of the stuff I have in production, but you never know what new things you can learn, and are now halfway through episode 2. at 40 mins to 2 hours a pop it is hard going, especially when stuff seems 'basic' your brain just kind of wanders. So have implemented pomodoro and managing it in 25minute sessions.

So done my medical checkup for PSV license, more about that later and class is tomorrow, so that's the me part almost done, would have been done last month but I got sick, and couldn't do a medical checkup or attend the once a month availability course. Have studied up for the insurance course, but I need to bring my original high school certificate (SPM for those that know) and I left mine on the bus many years ago, on the day I collected it from High School. Yes theres a way to get a new one, will share soon.

Do some investment reading, and stockwatching More active on the exchange and making some money, and holding when losing. So not really losing any. Have organized things a bit better, and can prioritize what to watch rather than just watch everything.
Want to hit a good number this month.

Housekeeping Kicking shit of this week.
Was in Hanoi just before XMas, and my MacBook started to not wanting to charge, so instead of getting worked done, I sort of saved battery for emergency work. I ordered a new power brick online, so it would arrive before I got back. Getting back home the MacBook (Pro Retina 2015 yes that old) worked fine, and new power brick stayed in the box.
Just at New Year, it stopped charging again, and didn't even realize until I got a battery low message. Tried the new power brick, and still nothing. Copied of some important files into the cloud just in case it died permanently, or if I sent it out for repair.
Meanwhile my Windows Laptop was just sitting there outdated, and my Surface Pro 5 running Kubuntu has been constantly reminding me to update 22.04 LTS to 24.04 LTS since forever. Took the opportunity over new year break to do that upgrade, and so far nothing broken. 2025 seems an OK year so far.
Credit card got fraud transactions again. Annoying, coz I have to wait two weeks for a new card, and all that other shit.

Another cancer diagnosis for my dad, the prostate diagnosis from years back has been clear, but now has bone cancer, he's old 83 and had a good life, and while the clock has always been ticking, (for all of us) the tocks are getting louder.
This was like my introduction and made me understand what I'm looking at and for in the market charts.
