okay. this is me writing my full, honest review as much as i can, of my new lenovo x230. heads up! this post will be very long, maybe. first, the build quality. for a laptop built in 2012, it's still built really well, and it just works. Everything on this computer feels good and it has managed to last. it feels heavy, but in a good way, it also helps that there's a second battery, which helps for battery life. second, performance. when i first bought this laptop, it had one single stick of 4gb of ram. it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. i proceeded to go ahead and be my robot cannibal self and pulled out two ram sticks out of a laptop that had stopped working, then swapped around the sticks super well. it now has 8gb of ram, with a intel core i5-3320M, with vpro, and a small but easy 128gb ssd, and it being the way it is right now, it's fine, i don't plan on needing to upgrade the hard drive anytime soon. i'd also like to mention, that it originally ran windows 7, upgraded to windows 8 at some point, then i put on my favorite linux flavor, being kubuntu. with kubuntu, it makes good work of what hardware runs inside this machine. i love how simple it runs, both being a tablet and laptop. overall, if i bought this laptop brand new, i'd be really happy. it's an amazing, capable machine that just "works". i really, really like this, and i might have a laptop brand i suck up to, being now lenovo for laptops and apple for any possible laptops.

I recently got ahold of another laptop. Meet the Lenovo X230 Tablet, made in 2012. It is quite the capable machine, with a 128GB SSD and 8GB of ram (originally 4GB, pulled sticks out of a laptop that stopped working) running my reliable Kubuntu. More at the 12pm news.
so i've been fucking around in kubuntu, making it how I want it. I went to go look for a wallpaper of Konqui (which is KDE's mascot), and tell me why I found this website.
That is the offcial KDE website with info on the silly lil' guy. but tell me when I get to the bottom-
this implies, in a technicality, every KDE user has their own dragon that they could probably make. How interesting.
this also means every KDE user has had or currently has a dragon-sona (or really just fursona but as long as you get my point) hope you didn't mind "this".

Putting Kubuntu on the Laptop to see what it's like after Nova recommended it to me. It's cute! It already has a lot of animation to it so I would guess there are designers out there who played around with that. I'd love to start finding themes and get a fun looking OS!

I recently installed Linux onto my computer, and im loving it. my only gripe so far is some of my apps im putting on there (being a global messaging app called Beeper, and the Helium browser) are not working and its making me mad
it looks amazing though, don’t get me wrong. I wanna try gaming some time in the future on it, just gotta wait and stuff…

Trying KUbuntu - Another go at Linux
Having a mostly good experience with Fedora Linux but not fully satisfying, I decided to try another version. This time I added a second physical drive to my laptop using a CDrom caddy adapter. Who uses a CD anymore anyway? Now I can easily boot into Windows or Linux without having to get my screwdriver. Yeah, you can do a Grub dual boot on one drive, but I just didn’t want to deal with that…
