“it’s my film, and if he doesn’t like that, he won’t have a job tomorrow. if he wants a spineless bastard, my ex-husband is casting his next porno.” the producer on the other end of the line had the full force of her hissing sticato. she’d made a vow to herself in her darkest hour. bow to no one. a film was colaporative act, but this was a blatant attempt to take the reigns. patronising mysogyny got no mercy. she dropped her pen, and the baby made it impossible for her to bend.

lana sighed, her long time friend had been gushing about her new boy toy – if she didn’t say anything the conversation would be never-ending. “Invite him out for a drink and then, after about twenty minutes, casually drop into the conversation the fact that you’d like to marry him and have lots of sex and babies.” she stopped in time to look up and see a face that wasn’t standing there before, “look love, someone just popped up – so tell me how it goes, love you bye!” she rambled, quickly ending the phone call and setting her phone down on the table. “sorry about that – boy issues and friends… what are you gonna do?”

please tell me i’m not the only one who still has absolutely nothing packed for this cruise… i do have the girls outfits picked out, but actually packing all the stuff for them plus myself is not gonna be fun. 

i don’t know if i’m excited or dreading this trip

well leos a few weeks old now, so it was mostly me holding him while i did stuff – but he took the credit when we told his mama.

“I’ve bought and read so many books about babies but I still feel like I’m nowhere near prepared for what’s coming. Although, can’t help but be excited about the whole thing.”

To be fair she didn’t think this was how she would spend new years but she’s wouldn’t have it any other way. Picking up her son and putting him on her lap. “Are you okay babe? you seriously didn’t have to run here.”

sydney was exhausted having spent most of new years eve in labor. everything was quiet now until her son came running through the door. “whoa. whoa. whoa. bunny be careful” she told bennett, tickling his sides. she honestly didn’t remember who had him last until that person walked in the room. “hi.” syd told them lightly

“i took vanessa with me to do a video shoot today – and lord help me, that girl walked straight in front of the camera, flipped her hair, and started singing one of my songs.” devonne laughed, sinking into her chair and reaching for her water bottle on the table ahead of her. “she’s gonna be the death of me, i swear.”

Leo decided today would be a good day to get up at 4 in the morning, so he and I made the executive decision to clean, fold laundry, and make mommy breakfast all while watching boss baby.
