Studio / Bunkhouse on Bainbridge Island, WA designed by @cutler_anderson. “An 80 square-foot cabin, barely a house, but with enough room for a bed, a desk, a refrigerator, a wood stove, and a big battery. This little shelter is an adjunct room to a larger 1,600 sq. ft. house. On normal days, it serves as a study, a bunkhouse for sleepovers, and an evening family entertainment room.”

We’re constantly inspired by @salmon_creek_farm, their newest addition is #cabin1orchard. The cabin is entirely built out of SFC lumber, fir framing, 3” fir slab counters, merch redwood interior paneling, heart redwood exterior board & batten, all salvaged windows plus a sink found in the meadow. 

From the book Houseboat: Reflections of North America’s Floating Homes by Ben Denis & Betsy Case, this boat is hidden alone in a tiny cove is shared by a carpenter and two seaworthy felines. The sheer rock cliffs protection from the prevailing southerlies.

I’ve always loved this ‘48 International Housebus from the book Rolling Homes: Handmade Houses on Wheels by Jane Lidz. The bus was purchased in ‘75 for $750, took 3 years to build with a construction cost of $2500, putting this builds overall cost at $3250

This magical home was created from an old side-wheel ferry. Its long working life started in 1888 on a run from Seattle to West Seattle, then the Martinez-Benicia run in California.
