Maureen Forever

She saw every step from the Cavern days to those difficult first solo years and remained in touch with them all after the divorce. She was even there during George's Dark Horse Tour. The Beatles each seemed to have a real soft spot for her. From friends it sounds like she had a big personality and even bigger heart.

Her relationship with Ringo was this whole world only she will have ever known, the good and the bad. Her relationship with George was another little world we'll never know. We have some insight of her friendships with Cynthia and Chris O'Dell, and it sounds like Yoko appreciated the kindness Maureen showed her.

She went through so much and it's just not part of their story at all. There's something haunting about her.

True she may have wanted it that way, but her legacy is being the wife who betrayed her husband and had an affair with another Beatle and that leaves such a nasty taste.

Idk. Pattie didn't owe her anything I guess but I feel like she could've been more thoughtful about how everybody would perceive Maureen when the only paragraph she wrote about her in her book made her look extremely selfish and petty. In reality she was probably going through a horrific time at home. Pattie only showed empathy for Ringo (very on brand for her unfortunately) despite having done virtually the same thing with Eric.

I'm always wondering what Maureen made of her life and her experiences and how it might totally change how we see The Beatles.

I am OBSESSED Maureen's fashion style. It's so interesting to me because I know some of these pictures are from a time where the goth subculture hasn't been a thing, but the elements of it are just there. I don't even know what to call it, proto-goth? Whatever, she is just so cool.

I am also obsessed with her wearing dark shiny materials, I really wonder if the first coat is leather or from a different material
