MATTY OR NOT

Oli/The Innocent: Oli is the innocent alter. Most say Oli is a basically the socially awkward, anxious-ridden Matty. Oli is usually found by himself drawing or reading. Oli usually wears big sweaters and Matty’s reading glasses. Oli also knows a lot about Matty, as he writes in the same journal Matty does and has the chance to read everything. When put in uncomfortable situations, Oli usually stutters quite a bit and never knows what to say. Oli is believed to be 18, though definitely doesn’t act like it. Oli is very easy to manipulate as he’s terrified to stand up for himself or tell on anyone; so if you need something done, Oli is usually the one who can get it done or take the blame for you.

R/Consciousness: R is the one that protects Matty. When R is out, they are usually emotionless and talk very monotone. R is very smart, and usually speaks in riddles - using large words and usually phrasing things like a self-aggrandizing asshole. R is a very rational thinker, and gives the best advice. R knows basically everything about Matty and wants to make sure that Matty stays the main personality so that everything runs smoothly. R absolutely hates The Suicidal personality. R usually knows a lot more than what is said, be it about a person or situation. If you get on R’s good side, they can think of a million different ways to help you out or get you out of trouble. Though you have to keep in mind, R only cares about Matty. The things R might do to help you could potentially result in something negative.

Matty: This is Matty himself, the main personality. Matty is usually always pretty happy and calm. Though he’s a little socially awkward, that doesn’t stop him from wanting to be friends with everyone. He’s usually either found in his room or the music therapy room. There are points where he can seem super outgoing and seems like he has a ton of self confidence, but he’s really super self-conscious and jokes around a lot to hide how much pain he’s in.

The Suicidal: This alter doesn’t have a specific name, though will tell you they’re not Matty because they hate Matty. This alter constantly tries to cause harm, be it punching, cutting, stabbing, whatever they can do that will hurt the body to try and get rid of the main personality. They’ll constantly talk about how much they hate Matty; how stupid he is, how much of a burden he is, etc. This alter does nothing but cause pain, though is one of the most common ones.

Danny/The Child: This personality will cause Matty to talk literally like a child. Danny, as the personality likes to be called, will usually be super quiet and afraid of you until proven you can be trusted. Once you are trusted, he’ll ask you to play with him, draw with him, talk to him, anything that will involve your attention. Danny is super nice, though knows a lot of secrets about Matty that he’s not very good at keeping.
