Matt Jackson.

“You definitely get grumpy.” She teased. “Then it’s settled, we’ll order in, hav e a night off and relax.”

“Just a little bit.”  He nodded. “That sounds like a plan.  You sure you can behave yourself?” 

“That’s entirely up to you, handsome.” She said as she moved in closer to him and held onto him a little tighter. 

“I think we should order food, but no more homework, not for now. It makes me far too grumpy, you know. I’m less fun when I’m grumpy.” 

“It’s a special talent you acquire when you have an annoying older brother.” She said with a soft laugh. “Very lucky but you know.. I’m thinking we need some food and no more ridiculous work for the rest of the day.”

“Yes, I suppose so.”  He nodded. “I could eat. Are you thinking we actually venture outside or we just order something?” He stretched a bit, pulling her a bit closer to him. 

“I have no doubt that you can do that.” She said as she moved until she was standing in front of him, resting her hands gently on his shoulders. “Once or twice. However I never really listen.”

“It’s good that you don’t doubt it.”  He smiled, as she stood riht in front of him, and he moved to stand up, his hands going to her hips. “You really don’t. You’re not that great at listening.” He winked at her playfully. “You are lucky you are very sexy.” 

“I’d definitely miss them.” She said with a soft laugh as she closed her textbook and rose form her spot. “I think we both need a good break, my brain is about to burst if I try to fit in any more information.” 

“Good to know.”  He smiled at her. “Well, then I will have to see if I can accurately distract you, as well. Hasn’t anyone ever told you that homework can make your brain explode?” 

Brittany watched as the other’s hand combed through his beautiful golden locks, his demeanor appearing quite tense. Truth be told, the brunette hated whenever other people became victims of their own mental anguish, especially when they were such hard workers. Looking over at him, she offered a kind smile; her hand reaching out to rest upon his shoulder, giving it a gentle squeeze. “Why Antartica, then? I can see you someplace a little more exotic, to be honest. Why not we take a trip to Bora Bora? You can take your shirt off, I can wear a bikini… I feel like we’ll both be better off, don’t ‘cha think?”

Ryan scoffed, rolling his eyes. “I don’t think a house with proper heating will be as cold as the Antarctica outside. Or do you think they live in ski-suits 24/7?” He frowned. “It can’t be that horrible.”

          an amused grin twitched the corners of odette’s mouth. the dramatic arts professor looked down, trying—and failing—to contain her grin, before eyeing him over the table. “i know this won’t help you decide against dropping out in the middle of the semester, but…you do know that there are other options for the jobless and shirtless, right? hawaii. jamaica. maiami… and so on.” 

“Then it doesn’t sound like Antarctica is the place for you or for anyone for that matter it’s freezing and there’s like no one there don’t you have to like get a helicopter just to go to the hospital? Why don’t you just move across country and go to Vegas or something a place where you can constantly not wear shirts.”

“Yeah that is probably true. I was born in Northern England and raised in California. I don’t think I’m quite cut out for Antarctica, unfortunately.”  He nodded. “Well yes, that’s a good point. I think I just like to complain today, apparently.” 

Madeline had hidden out in Matt’s apartment, studying as he worked and getting on top of the small mountain of work she had to tackle. Hearing his voice she looked over at him and couldn’t help but smile. “Babe, your balls would freeze and fall off.” She said teasingly. “How about you stop working for a couple hours and take a break?” She suggested as she closed her book and moved to sit beside him, gently rubbing his shoulders.

Matt was not enjoying this semester. He just didn’t like a lot of his classes and the department work was bullshit.  But, Madeline was something he was happy with. They worked well together, took breaks together even better. “They would and you’d not like if my balls fell off.”  He groaned, and leaned back. “I am all for that. You’re working too hard, too.”
