Hello all, we wanted to update you on a situation that some of you may be aware of.  On Friday, over 1000 of our images were stolen after a photographer’s website was hacked into. The majority of these images have not been made public before.  The show goes through a specific process to ensure that the company and production is represented fairly which limits the number of photos released publicly. This is in order to protect the integrity of the production  and ensure certain moments from the production are never shared in this way to retain an element of surprise for people seeing the show for the first time.  As these images have now been shared publicly in a way that was never intended -  we are asking for your help please to stop these from spreading further, and take down images you may already be sharing.  Copyright is a serious legal issue in terms of photos, audio and video content. We always try very hard to share with you content that you’ll love and we will continue to post exciting photos for you when the time is right.  We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support for Matilda The Musical, it really means very much to us.

brooklyn started crying during my house.

then alison started.

then, despite valiant efforts, alison basically didn’t STOP for the rest of the show.  her voice kept breaking during the last scene.  

my fucking heart.  

then matt had this huge watery grin when he was saying goodbye to matilda.

and when alison and brooklyn joined hands at the end, they grabbed on so tightly it looked painful.

It’s funny, because though this was the last show before they head off, there was a technical difficulty. This never happens, never. A friend of mine who is an usher has been there for 17 years and only one other show has had a technical difficulty like this. Our crew is so meticulous in making sure everything is perfect before anyone is even allowed in the theater.

After the song ‘Naughty’ ended, the set for the library starts to move in for Matilda’s first part of the story. However, the bedroom set got stuck and the very back wall was not able to close because it was in the way. Jennifer Blood (Miss Honey) was on stage and Mabel entered to middle stage. Then a tech guy came over and escorted her off stage. It was very quick, but Mabel acted like it was totally normal. You could see Ora Jones (Mrs. Phelps) offstage to the left about to enter, but once she saw what had happened she went back into the wings. The announcement was made and it took about 5 minutes for it to be reset. Thankfully it didn’t ruin the flow of the show because it was pretty early still.
