missing jeff skinner SO much

also fuck the people that say politics don’t belong in hockey (or sports in general). we’re living in times where everything is political bc we cannot afford to be apolitical anymore. if you choose to be, you’re the scum of the earth.

just here to say that these last few days (especially in light of recent events) i’ve felt so disillusioned with hockey :( i still love the isles and certain players (at least those who haven’t proved to be shitty, right wing/conservative leaning) but it’s so hard to support and enjoy a sport that has such a toxic culture. not saying i’ll stop watching hockey bc i’ve always enjoyed watching the sport but im def not feeling proud of team usa or any of its players. im def rethinking how much i support and love players bc ultimately we don’t really know these people and i hate to condone or support people that stand for this horrible administration, no matter how much i love the sport.
