The look she was suddenly displaying did nothing but make him release an amused chuckle he had been holding onto, as he was trying his hardest to hear what she had to say at the very least. It was nice having someone like Yuffie in a place as gloomy as Tenebris—the place sure could do with some lightening up.

"Sorry." He replied, clearly still rather amused. Still listening to her words he placed his head down; looking at the dirt beneath his boots. Slowly, he looked up. “Hmm. Well I am pleased to see you Yuffie, does that count?" He was trying extremely hard not to laugh at her by this point, it was becoming increasingly harder to contain himself as she continued to speak it seemed. “I agree—good thing you showed up. This place could use a bit of your energy." He said a bit dryly. ‘Mister big-and-spooky?’ That was a new one. Yuffie was always notorious for giving him different nicknames on a seemingly daily basis and he chuckled then. “Point taken—I guess we may as well make the most of it. Is that you mean?" Her cheerful optimism was always something he had greatly admired about the young ninja and he was happy in her presence really. He raised a brow at the sight of her sticking out her tongue at him and shook his head. “Right. Got it." Meaning, he wouldn’t change his ways but if it got the subject changed, he’d go along with it. “Lumen huh?" That figured that she’d get bored and end up finding a way here. Typical Yuffie yet again. Who knows what sort of trouble she’d gotten herself into prior to their meeting? He shrugged it off for the time being. “We’ll find them Yuffie. I’m sure of it." He wanted to find the others just as badly as she did really.

And she seems entirely serious about it, at this point. After all, it was hard to tell whether or not Vincent was being sincere -- seeing as how his tone of voice was nearly always devoid of emotion, constantly monotone. One would think that the chuckling that emanated from him would help her out, but .. really, it only left her confused. Was he laughing at her antics, or was he laughing because he felt better about the situation -- as he insinuated?

".. Energy? Are you teasing me again, or what!?" 'Huffy' was really the only word that could be used to describe the kunoichi at this point; her eyes narrowed as she stared the gunman down, obviously expecting a response. No, not just any response; the right one. "Anyway .. yeah. We will find 'em. We've got to, right?" Of course -- all of this was dismissed as quickly as it had been brought up. Vincent had answered her own inquiry, regarding what he'd been branded with. She'd already assumed it to be a virtue rather than a sin -- as she couldn't see Vincent getting antsy like her, and having to leave the brighter of the two islands. And she was right.

"Diligence, huh .." A low hum follows her words, as though she's thinking it over. "Yeah, I guess it does kinda work. Although, if you ask me, you got stuck with one of the more boring ones .. --"

       I just have to deal with it.

"Lance Corporal Levi. Unless you can defeat one of Humanity’s strongest, I suggest you take a step off your pride rock and show some damn respect." He lowered both his swords eventually (be it that it was wariness), yet they still stayed within his hands, firm in his grasp. The fingers were off the triggers, finding that such need to use his 3D Maneuver Gear would be unnecessary and be a waste of precious gas. There was still a glare in his eyes, a certain unspoken ‘you don’t fuck with me and i don’t fuck with you’ type aura was swarming around him. It wasn’t his fault he was plopped out here in the middle of no where, not knowing what was going on and where he was. The place was outstandingly unfamiliar. 

No tree looked the same to him, not even the air smelled the same. The place didn’t even feel like his world. Nothing felt the same. It was as if someone took out his soul and placed it inside another body. Not to mention, there wasn’t even a sign of any titans walking about. Of course, they were usually dormant at night, but wouldn’t at least one of them come and sniff around these parts. 

Everything seemed to… unrealistic.

"Hey, you know anything about these woods? Have you seen any Titans walking about?" The trees were much smaller from when he last saw them. Everything was too confusing and making his head spin. Ah, he just hoped that now he wasn’t bleeding or anything, the left part of his torso was all so numb and he couldn’t even tell if the warm sticky redness that was his blood was flowing down his shoulders or anything of the sort.

She wasn't entirely certain what the "Lance" bit meant -- but "Corporal" was very obviously a title used within the military. And that knowledge was more than enough to raise a couple of flags within her mine.

-- Did that stop her from speaking in her usual tone? No. At least, not until she caught sight of the dark stains on his uniform. "Oh, yeah!? Well, you'll get your 'respect' when you show me some! 'Cause I --" , They weren't so far apart that it couldn't be noticed, even in the dim lighting of the surrounding area. Stopping herself in the middle of her own sentence, without warning -- she takes one, two, three steps closer to the man she'd come so close to fighting seconds ago. It might not have been the brightest idea on her part, seeing as how she advanced without warning -- and on such a sour note. But the sudden bout of (semi) concern for the foreign male seemed to outweigh reason. And that caused a rather distinct change in attitude on Yuffie's part; it'd probably be noted right away.

"Woods, Titans? Wait, wait. I -- quiet down for a second, would you!? I mean, look at you; you're bleeding like crazy." Had he not noticed -- or felt the warmth from the liquid that his clothes had absorbed? " -- Did you take a hit or something before you wandered all the way over here? Urgh, nevermind, we should seriously --"

Get him back to civilization, and out of the woods, where he could get infected and wind up worse for the wear. But --

There were no douchebags tryin’ to annoy or mess with him. For some reason, it seems as if people had steered clear of him, even the fuckers who tried to get him angry averted their eyes elsewhere. Good. It was best if they didn’t fuck with him. Dante had no idea why they did it to begin with.

Casually walking (people thought he was always fast walking, like he had somewhere to be; no, this was just how he normally was), he hummed a nice tune to himself. Oh yeah, he was generally pleased with the day. That was until his senses started to alert of something coming directly towards him. Dante’s brows furrowed in confusion, not seeing the environment change. No, he wasn’t going into Limbo, so what was it— 

He blinked when he was pulled from those complicated thoughts, his shoulder was grabbed and forced to look at the person who intruded on his perfect day. "The hell—" To his surprise, it was a girl. She was, uh… — Okay, so now he was generally confused. What the hell was with the getup? Ninjas were so fifty gazillion centuries ago, no one wears those anymore.

Dante scoffed. A lady? Is that what she was? He made a face, looking away from her, then right back at. "Alright, fine," he’ll bite. Whatever her reason, it probably wasn’t a good thing. Just look at her clothes! She wasn’t just a tourist, that’s for sure. He wasn’t going to comment on her attire— "So, lady ninja, the hell do you need? Can’t you see that I’m busy?" 

Busy? Doing what? Walking? Oh yeah, definitely busy.

-- Of course, if he was going to act rotten to the core, then she could play the very same game. She just wouldn't manage as well as he did, was all. Nose scrunching up lightly, Yuffie takes her hand off his shoulder; opting instead to place it on her hip. "That's the Great Lady Ninja to you, buddy." A huff of air follows her retort, and then she continues on -- finally addressing the matter at hand. The sooner she got out of this place (and out of this guy's hair), the better. For the both of them, it seemed. No-doubt she'd already started to try his patience the moment she tapped his shoulder, demanding his attention. "And I'll try to keep it quick, how's that? I only had one question for you, anyway." 

The hand that was still at her side raises now, to gesture to the rather worn-down city that surrounded them. "Just where the heck is this place? One second, I'm running around, trying to find Vince, and then --"

   Tapping a few travelers along the way was unavailing as well. Not one even glanced in her direction. Were these people human? Demi-humans? Thoughts were suddenly disrupted due to her core sparkling brightly. The large pearl above her bosom reflected the sun’s rays, flashing blinding lights all over the place. Perhaps that was the reason why everyone ignored her? Was she too different?

   Inching away, the clumsy wanderer only tripped over her own two feet. The poor girl tumbled down to the ground and landed on her rear. Still— not one person acknowledged her. Although, sitting on the floor appeared comforting, she still had to speak with at least one individual. One person had to be the odd duckling out, right—not as cold-hearted as the rest of them? Might as well find out, no?

“—-Excuse me. Please can you assist me. I need help, please.”

She'd taken to walking around the darker half of Pandora, Tenebris, simply because the island that she was forced to call her new home bored her. One would think that a place as dazzling and bright as Lumen would have at least some valuables about -- but there was nothing, as far as Yuffie was concerned. And once she'd discovered as much, the "sinner's island" began to lose its luster, slowly but surely.

Not that Tenebris was any better in that respect, but .. most (if not all) of her friends were here. Admittedly, she'd much rather have been on the darker island with company than on the much more valuable-looking island on her own. Today, though, she chose to explore the brighter island some more -- for some reason that she couldn't quite explain. Which, in turn, led her to stumble upon the jewel-encrusted girl in the first place.

.. Quite literally. Pearl had fallen onto her backside, and Yuffie, not looking where she was going, had almost tripped and fallen on top of her. She probably would have, had the Jumi not spoke up in time. "Wha -- Woah!" Crisis averted! Or .. something like that. She'd barely stopped a foot before the still-seated brunette, shock plain on her face. Why was she sitting around in the middle of a busy sidewalk --? What's more, was she the only one that bothered to stop and talk to her?

Not that Yuffie had done it of her own accord, but -- whatever.

Squatting down to look at the girl at eye-level, she raises a brow. "Yeah, I can kinda see that. Can't get up on your own 'cause of that poofy-looking dress of yours, or --?" Eyes flicker downwards, briefly; and only because the jewel lodged in her chest was reflecting the rays of the sun above.

Spiky? Wiping around to see who called him that, in front of him was a small girl, and from looking at her attire, she definitely was not from the area, since Twilight Town folks are mostly peaceful and oblivious to battle.

Seems she caught him in a bad mood -- or was it her presence that caused him to act in such a way? Hands move to rest on her hips once she stops before the redhead; and there's a brow raise as she leans slightly forward, so as to get a closer look at him. Unfamiliar, but --

"Yeah, but how was I supposed to know what it was? I don't even know you. Jeez." She had to get his attention somehow, right? And the name that she'd so kindly chosen for him did just that. Lips pursing, Yuffie continues on.
