The last 24 hours have SUCKED

I sneezed myself awake at maybe 5am yesterday morning.  I’m not sure what time it was exactly, but the sun hadn’t risen yet so I’m guessing.  I sneezed over a dozen times in rapid succession, my face becoming a snot assault rifle for a moment.  I took 3 different drug store pills for allergies (I have a cocktail I take daily that USUALLY gets me 90% of the way to normal, though anyone who comes to my streams knows I’m still perpetually congested), blew my nose 2 or 3 times, and went to sleep. 

I woke up around noon, groggy as hell, and still super congested.  My housemate Lauren had some sudafed that she let me take, and nasal spray.  She left the house to run errands, and I played WoW hoping the drugs would kick in and make me feel better.  Long story short, they never did.

She came back from errands, having picked up benadryl and some vicks menthol nasal thing.  I took those too (now up to 5 different pills and 2 nasal sprays).  Those seemed to kick in after an hour, though I still felt like crap.  At that point it was hard to tell if it was the drugs or the allergies that were making me feel groggy and incoherent (to the point that both Lauren and her husband Keith were like “…Are YOU ok?”).  I slogged through the 8pm dinner so I wouldn’t wake up starving at 2am and crashed into bed at 9pm.

….THEN, for what I can conceive of as Absolutely No Fucking Reason Whatsoever, my body decided at 1am that HEY IT’S TIME TO BE AWAKE NOW!  I’ve been laying in bed trying to sleep since then, but nope.  My allergies are clear to the point that I can breath in through my nose (though still somewhat labored), but I still feel generally like crap.

So now I lay in bed at 6am, my laptop on my lap, wide awake.  As soon as I’m done typing this I’m going to TRY to go back to bed, but I’m not terribly optomistic, given how this day has gone so far.  I’m just really REALLY hoping I’m not legitimately coming down with something.  I’ve been having enough issues with sleep lately, I don’t need to add “sick” to that. ;^_^

Posting this in the hopes one of y’all has some ideas because I’m out if not only ideas, but fucks and spoons.  ALL GONE.

Oh, and earlier when I was on my computer trying to tire myself out a spider decided he was going to crawl on my keyboard and across my monitor.  So that was exciting.
