For the emototronic furby (2005) the general look of the young don't initially seem to exhibit any egg baby traits UNTIL we look at the tie-in furby movie Furby Island (which is definitely what these specific furbys are based on based on prototypes) we see them hide in holes around trees but ALSO this thing that is almost definitely a NEST

This makes sense cus furbys in this movie can CLIMB I'm talking their ears are basically arms they're swinging on vines climbing trees which with their environment could definitely imply something close to a kiwi or other flightless bird who still has bird traits but not flight, like laying eggs.

On the Hey furby tiktok they made an easter post where they all pop out of eggs. BUT for some fucking reason they also posted this

Which. Leaves me with more questions to be honest so I'm gonna say 4 out of 5 is enough evidence. The good news tho is we have confirmation on what Hey Furbys eat!

Seeds, greenery and even the sushi implies bird of some kind or at least a foraging species but the skewer throws me off. Is that chicken????? This implies that at least Hey Furby are omnivorous predators of some kind that eat birds.

My personal theory is that all furby eras are connected and are just separate breeds essentially (think dogs or cats in the way that two breeds can look like two completely different animals, but have the same ancestor and most of the same traits) SO it is most likely that the furby species are omnivorous creatures most closely resembling flightless birds which with their forward facing eyes are predators of creatures smaller then them but also possibly forage.

Of course this avoids another post on this tiktok that might imply hey furby babies are made in a lab and are part chinchilla, part dance, part OMG, and part water

But thats just a theory

The emototronic furby babies have bottles that are so clearly for milk it would be insane to imply they come from eggs

And so i shall leave the furby world in shame, unable to face my foolish theory

We've been looking at this all wrong. Furbys arent mammals, they arent birds, they aren't even monotremes.

Guys. They're insects.

Egg laying (most of the time) ✅️

Incredibly quick adaptation and evolution compared to other species ✅️

Sometimes extra legs ✅️

But Emoto, you cry, they dont have exo skeletons

What do you call THESE THINGS?

It would explain:

Why they dont have noises (bugs dont have nostrils, but side openings that bring in oxygen)

Why they sing and dance (lots of bug species sing or dance to communicate)

Why they have such flexible and emotive ears (antenna)

Also some cockroaches produce a milk like substance for their young, much like the emototronic furby

Furbys dont got bones they dont bleed, they love wiggling. They're bugs. Furby is bugs
