Celebrated turning another year older at a local fancy place - The Davenport Hotel. I think this will have to be my new tradition! Enjoyed a Spa treatment, dinner out with family, a night in a posh suite and took a few very bubbly, bubble baths! Then had room service breakfast in bed to cap it off.

Adventures in Holiday Photos: 2014 Every year I attempt/hope to take a nice holiday card photo on Thanksgiving with my fur pal Tucker Boy. Its our family tradition, so to speak. For whatever reason T-Boy hates the photo session almost as much as our reluctant photographer, my sister. Maybe its weird to him because I'm usually the one behind the camera with a cookie in hand. At best he will tolerate the silliness for about 1.25 minutes and then, Game Over!

Something new: The Lomo'Instant Camera! Time to take some pictures... Earlier this year I backed a Kickstarter for this new camera by the people at Lomography.com. If you love film cameras like me, you should go check out their website ASAP. I have been waiting for what felt like an eternity for it to arrive and yesterday there it was on my front steps! :) This afternoon I decided to try it out. Have to say I am really liking my fun new camera (once I figured out how to load the batteries correctly - ha) Best of all the first shot was great! I used a red gel flash and love the results.

Today for lunch I attempted focaccia bread... garlic & herbed olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, artichoke, and black olives.
