Amaryllis tilted her head slightly -- a habit from her mother -- and blinked at the girl in front of her. For one reason or another, she kind of reminded her of her sister, and she wasn't sure if this was good or bad thing.
"Yeah, that's me..." she trailed off a moment, adjusting the messenger bag accross her shoulder to prevent it from slipping away entirely. "I'm enrolled at Naranja-uva, but... I wanted to try out the exchange program, mainly because I hear the biomes here are insane. A bunch of my classmates have already been soooo... I had to see it for myself." A grin. "And I'm tired of running around all of Paldea searching for pokemon when you guys have a giant terrarium you can just go down to."
Did she sound spoiled? Probably. It made no difference to her, though, she was only telling the truth. The second, unspoken half of the truth, was that she desparately wanted to get away from Rui. How ironic that the very girl appointed to give her a tour was so strikingly similar in her mannerisms. Maybe it was a sign. Maybe, somehow, her mother had a hand in it, but she knew that sounded ridiculous. At the very least, she was away from her watchful eyes, for now.
"I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to show me around, though. How um... how long have you been enrolled here?" A nagging voice in her head told her it may not have been that long, though maybe her judgement was unfounded.
