Imagine being a sad Australian guy in a bad (I mean, bad) relationship with your father and you move in New Jersey and find a job and your boss reminds you of your dad and is just a spectacular person to the point that he feels like a father figure for you and you put quite a lot of effort to maintain your relationship you steal you break into houses you lie to your coworkers and he also punches you on the face while being on drug withdrawal but you let it slide and you're literally starved for his every pat on your head and he always makes some gay/twink/rich kid jokes about you but you let it slide too cause you just love him but you'll never admit it until he gets cancer in his brain and you feel like you're gonna lose him too like you lost your father and you're just so devastated that you find him in his office and give him the tightest and the most vulnerable hug you ever gave while trying to hold back tears and then turns out he just faked his test results to get some free drugs during the cancer treatment and you're just happy and relieved he's not gonna die and maybe you feel a little ashamed for that emotional hug but your father figure is not gonna die and you're gonna stay close to him which is the only important thing and then he just fires you because some other guy you work with quit and said he doesn't wanna be like him
