You will always be too much of something for someone: too big, too loud, too soft, too edgy. If you round out your edges, you lose your edge… Don’t apologize for being who you are.

I have come to the realization that I will never fully ‘get over’ you. That there is a piece of me that will always care for you. I have learned to be okay with that. I think that’s what true love is.

When someone’s been gone a long time, at first you save up all the things you want to tell them. You try to keep track of everything in your head. But it’s like trying to hold on to a fistful of sand: all the little bits slip out of your hands, and then you’re just clutching air and grit.
