Dog Brother's look in Marvel's Iron Fist was updated to a "badass biker look," a shift away from his ancient Japanese armor in the comic books. In the show, he wears enhanced, armor-like motorcycle gear which has been distressed to appear battle-worn. Costume design by Stephanie Maslansky.

The Bride of Nine spiders was designed as an homage to the classic comic book look: "a goth girl with an ethereal beauty."  In the live-action adaptation, barbed needles hidden in her hair replaced a spiked choker as her weapon of choice. She was also given a corset and gloves covered in lace which made them appear barbed. Costume design by Stephanie Maslansky.
