ideal and the real

I was standing amongst Akira and his friends, who were all sprawled out on the ground. They had tried to challenge me, but I was able to render them unable to fight by essentially making them so tired they aren't able to stand, but awake enough that they were conscious.

I walked around them, explaining my plan to them and how they aren't able to resist my influence because I had been trusted with the power of all of Mementos. There were two sides of a human: their real world self and their Metaverse self, and my powers gave me control over both. Everyone wants to sate their desires and move forward with their lives, and I was helping them do just that, which is ultimately why the Thieves have no way of resisting. Their minds cannot fight back against a fact of both realities of which I control the same way one cannot fight against gravity, but simply work with it.

I had my own adventures in the Metaverse before Akira visited my palace. It was actually quite scary, I was quite sure I was going to die at some points, but since I was learning things I've always wanted to know, and that I didn't really care what happened to me anymore, I kept going in deeper. A voice, I'm assuming Azathoth, guided me along.

I came across different people's palaces and discovered their memories were the answers/hints to mysteries in my life I had always wanted to know.

You wouldn't believe the hazards people have set up in their palaces nor the things I had to do to infiltrate all by myself. I'm assuming this was Shido's palace because at some point I was pushed into the raging ocean by an enemy, but there was a pipe I was able to swim back in (that shit was terrifying, I thought I was going to drown while trapped in a pipe filled with ocean water)

I wasn't trying to take down the palace nor the palace owner like Akira does, I was just trying to find answers. As I explored deeper, I came across natural springs of strange-looking water. The water itself looked dark in color yet it was so reflective, it circled around to looking transparent again.

Azatoth instructed me to drink from it. We called them "fountain of knowledge and truth" because each time I dipped my hand in the spring water, brought it to my mouth to drink, I would gain knowledge in the form of someone else's memories or insight into the way the Metaverse worked. Whenever I gained a memory, it was related to a mystery of my life I've always questioned. I learned why my research was shut down. Whenever I gained insight, I learned a secret of how the Metaverse functioned. I used this new knowledge to run my own palace later.

wonderous weather we're having

it was around 8-9pm, the phantom thieves were gathered in front of my palace’s entryway. sumire was standing outside the door, banging on the glass door, demanding entry, but i stood at the other side, my arms crossed. i looked down at her, and sternly told her it was past her bedtime, and that her & her friends could come again the next day.

before the wedding, rumi & i had filed our marriage license and were busy changing all our checkbooks and account names to “mr. & mrs. maruki”.

i think i was in my palace. i was bored. i used my telekinesis powers to levitate various gummy candies. it’s harder than it looks!
