I’m asking for a big favour here.

My car broke down two days ago, and it needs a new engine. I know, not the most dramatic thing in the world. But I need the car to buy groceries for my elderly parents, drop my nephew to school, and go to work, where I work 9-6 at a minimum wage job.

My mechanic quoted me 1.6k to fix it, to get the new engine installed etc.

Even if I could get a few quid, it would help so I’m not burdened so much. I’ve tried to apply for loans, in nearly 3 banks, but all were denied. This is my last resort, I hate begging for money on the internet, it doesn’t feel right for me. But I have no where else to turn to.
