A text exchange in a format similar to old, text-based adventure games, where there are no dialogue tags, and the text is instead color-coded to tell the speaker. There are two speakers, one who is the color of the background, and one who is teal. Teal speaker: There is a werewolf in the town. Background speaker: Is that bad? Teal speaker: There is a werewolf in the town. Background speaker: I'll take that as a yes. Teal speaker: How do you suggest we resolve this? Background speaker: Well, what exactly is the issue? Teal speaker: There is a werewolf in the town. Background speaker: Yes, okay, I heard you the first time. Is the problem that he is sometimes a wolf, or that he is sometimes a man? Teal speaker: A werewolf is a werewolf. How do you suggest we resolve this? Background speaker: Work with me here. Teal speaker: The problem is that there is a werewolf. Background speaker: What do you expect? Do you want me to un-make him? There are many men in the town, and a good number of domesticated wolves. What is the problem? That he was first a man, or first a wolf? Does that even matter? Why is the werewolf an issue? Teal speaker: He was first a man, and now he is a werewolf. There is a werewolf in the town. Background speaker: Has he actually done anything wrong? Teal speaker: There is a werewolf in the town. Background speaker: Was this forced upon him? Or did he choose to become a werewolf? Teal speaker: A werewolf is a werewolf. Background speaker: I see. I think I understand now. Teal speaker: How do you suggest we resolve this problem? Background speaker: You do not want there to be a werewolf in your town. As I see it there are three options. You could force him to pick between wolf and man, an agonizing divorce from his true being, simply so you do not have a werewolf in your town. You could force him from the town, which may come to be a blessing in the long run - for him, not you. Or you could allow him to integrate and accept that, in our society of men and wolves, there also live werewolves. Teal speaker: There is a werewolf in the town. Background speaker: Yes, there is. Isn't that beautiful? Teal speaker: How do you suggest we resolve this? Background speaker: I am beginning to believe that the werewolf is not the problem here. This is the end of the exchange. That buys her another hour or so and then, finally, her boyfriend makes it back. He looks like shit, hair down and just a mess, he's wearing an entirely different jacket that he got from an alley, and barely recognizable—especially to 5 guys who've been drunk for hours now. He lurks for a minute, finds out what's going on, and proceeds to pull off the trick shot first try. Throws the jacket off, fixes his hair with a hair tie his girlfriend lends him, finally looks like himself again, and THEN beats the shit out of them with the pool cue.

blorbofication to me is when you love a character in such a laser focus way that you somewhat detach them from the narrative from which they are inserted and treat them in a way roughly similar to how you'd treat an oc for which you still have no story and just like to put them in situations just for fun. which there's nothing wrong with btw, it's just that it can easily lead to people forgetting the character engine in a narrative and not just a barbie doll
