She rides with him to Bitterbridge, where they attend a great melee and encounter Lady Catelyn Tully. When word arrives that Stannis Baratheon has besieged Storm’s End, Renly departs with his cavalry and leaves Margaery at Bitterbridge with his infantry. After hearing Renly has been killed at Storm’s End, the small council sends Petyr Baelish as an envoy to Bitterbridge. The Tyrells ally with the Lannisters by planning to wed Margaery to King Joffrey I.
