And I had just done a deepdive into Harlequin as a charcter and I noticed a thing, no one has really made a solid oc to counter him I have seen some AMAZING ones for Jester and Ticket taker (Mostly on Tiktok)

But anything involving Harley was MC or paired with greenapple WHICH I ADORE DO NOT GET ME WRONG But i am a harley supporter in the deepest parts of my heart

Harlequin deserves a love that is just his, no rivalry, no games, someone who genuinely likes him and makes him WANT to be better (emotionally)

Harlequin I have noticed is always second to Pierrot, looking at the rivalry in game with Mc and then with Columbina, hell even his BIRTHDAY is AFTER Pierrots and Ill be so honest there WAS much less fan fair for his birthday than Pierrots which broke my heart for him

Finn ofc is his own character outside of his relationship, I made damn sure of that but they work together so nicely

Harley was KIND OF nice ONE TIME and that was genuenly enough for Finn because poor dudes a sucker for mean guys who are nice (more on that way later lol) But harley never had to fight anyone for Finns affection, it came with no strings, no games, just a consistant thing

I ALSO am really into mythology as a whole, and I have been on a kick of learning more and more about Celtic mythos/folktales and well the fae came up and i just thought to myself

"Hey what if all the creatures we hear about in the world are just monsters in game haha wouldnt that be funny!"

and bam, sea monster boy

I did a lot of background info on sea serpents in general and how geographically he would differ from the others, he never had a need to grow his claws long, be big and strong, be athletic, all his shit is in the water and by god his is a damn good swimmer He also has webbing between his fingers and toes, gills, two rows of teeth, a lot more things a creature of the sea would need vs one of land

I genuinely haven't had this much fun in a fandom space OR making an oc since the early days of Voltron and i really hope it stays this way

SIMPLY bc I am big fan big fan and I swear I saw this in a dream Just a list and why each character would fall as an avatar for a fear BUT PLZ COME AT ME IF YOU THINK A DIFF ONE WOULD BE BETTER I AM FOAMING AT THE M O U T H
