you know those studies showing that cursing helps with pain tolerance or whatever. that’s how i feel about making my weird little noises to get through my basic daily activities. sometimes you just have to go hggblaaaah for a minute so you can find the strength within yourself to get up or wash the dishes or send an email. mmmnneh. urgh. the torments are unending but you can always make some little sounds about it.

27. What’s your favorite household chore
Sweeping is pretty chill.
28. What chore do you hate the most?
Dishes. I hate dishes. I hate having my hands wet and how it never ends and they’re so easy to drop when they’re slippy and sponges are gross and water splashes all over you and your hands get chapped and gloves feel weirder and can have bacteria or bugs and stuff hiding in them and eughhhhh I hate dishes.

6. what's your go-to recipe when you want to make something that requires minimal effort?
Salad. Salad can be anything. It’s also gluten free basically by default so I don’t have to worry. Our usual salad is baby leaf spinach with either shredded carrot or daikon, feta cheese, walnuts, seasonal veg (pumpkin, corn, etc) some beans maybe, sometimes craisins, sometimes cold boiled potato wedges…then top the whole thing with herb salt and a sprinkle of basil (I hate salad dressing and it’s 90% of the time got gluten in it here anyway) and voila. Done. Healthy and easy and won’t make me sick. We prep toppings on the weekends and it’s easy to just throw it all together after a long day at work.
12. what's the biggest purchase you've ever made?
If you don’t count my apartment (since I don’t own it) then I’d have to say it’s my computer! I have an iMac and it’s a sturdy beast. I paid for it in cash.
26. do you make a list before going to the grocery store or just wing it?
So actually, I don’t go to the grocery store if I can help it because it’s sensory overload nightmare time! Also I don’t have a car, so carrying things home is a bitch. We order groceries online and get them delivered. Usually we wing it and come up with menus as we click through what’s on sale.
That being said roomie will go to the grocery for fresh fruit and veg and that’s all also based on what she wants and what’s on sale and in season. No list. Just her whims.
what's your favourite beverage?
I’m a coffee girl. Prefer it hot, and while I usually drink a sad instant black, I really like spiffy fancy coffee drinks with stuff in them. Caramel or whip or toppings and such. Super huge pick me up.
I will also never say no to a strawberry lemonade.
