Always Crashing Into You! (BL) (Enemies to lovers)
(Smut warning ofc) (dr#gs and Al#oh#l abuse warning) Introduction:
Just the act of opening his eyes was enough to make Kristinn’s head spin and for his vision to blur. His week had been rubbish, but he never thought the situation would get so bad. But damn, it got worse. Now the situation was highly critical. Let's go back a little to the beginning, to the previous day, Friday. Yesterday. More to the point, Kristinn was dragged to a party full of drunk college students and red cups. Liam (his best friend) promised to buy milkshakes every day for a month if Kristinn went with him to that damn party. So Kristinn accepted, and ended up in that sea of young people, drinks, marijuana, drugs, sex and pure terrorism. Fuck it. He thought. Kristinn didn't even notice when he was already downing the fourth glass of vodka. He didn't even notice when that feeling of lightness embraced his body like a warm sheet. And apparently, he also didn't realize when the hell he ended up falling into Jayce 's bed. Jayce!, of all people. Not just for being a man, but for being Jayce. Fuck. Damn. Kristinn never thought he was so unlucky. He couldn't even bear to look Jayce in the face and not punch him.
Beginning:
Groaning in frustration, Kristinn frowned and moved. The position was irritating. Jayce was not small, much less light, and was lying on top of Kristinn. With a grunt, Kristinn pushed the other man away, making a loud thud sound in the room. Jayce 's body has officially met the ground. Kristinn ignored the grunts of pain and began furiously feeling around the bed, looking for his glasses. He hoped they hadn't grown legs and fled. Because, well, if Kristinn were a pair of glasses, he would certainly run away from Jayce. Luckily, his glasses were more tolerable towards asshole men, because Kristinn managed to find them on the other side of the mattress. After stuffing them into his face, he slowly moved his head.
He regretted it immediately, because Jayce was standing naked and looking at him with a strange expression, which Kristinn couldn't identify if it was surprise, confusion, anger, frustration or a mixture of everything. He pulled the thin sheet, covering his own abdomen, and ignoring the urge to remove his glasses just to blur that infernal vision. Kristinn couldn't believe he himself had made those marks on Jayce 's neck. Fuck, what was he? A Chupacabra? "Do you know where I left my clothes? I'm late for my class." Kristinn finally broke that monstrous silence. It was a bad idea, because sadly for him it was Saturday. What does that mean? Well, there was no class. But he was too nervous to even think. Fuck. The side effects of sleeping with someone like Jayce were already visible. Jayce groaned, rubbing the back of his head from the rude awakening and the hangover that was starting to kick in. "I don't know," he says, walking over to a drawer and pulling out a pair of small rectangle glasses. "What do you need clothes?" he says rubbing his neck sore from the big ass hickeys covering his neck.
As Kristinn sat there watching Jayce get on clothes he took note of him, his messy black hair disheveled and those blue-gray eyes still sleepy. Kristinn felt his throat tighten. Fuck, Jayce was beautiful. Why did he have to be so damn attractive? Kristinn quickly looked away, his cheeks burning. He couldn't let himself get distracted, not now. "I need to leave," Kristinn said, his voice coming out harsher than he intended. "I have... things to do." He couldn't meet Jayce 's gaze, focusing instead on the sheets tangled around his waist. The hickeys on Jayce 's neck stood out like ugly bruises against his pale skin. Kristinn's stomach churned. He did that. Somehow, he lost control and marked Jayce like some kind of animal. "Where are my clothes?" Kristinn demanded, trying to sound authoritative despite the pounding in his head. The alcohol was wearing off, and reality was setting in. He slept with Jayce . Jayce . His nemesis is the bane of his existence. How could he be so fucking stupid? "I don't know where they are." Jayce grumbles still waking up. He walks over to a drawer and puts on some sweat pants and pulls a hoodie over himself. "fucking hangover..." he mumbles he looks over at Kristinn still on the bed" What size are you..?"
Kristinn tore his gaze away, focusing instead on the tangled sheets pooled around his waist. "Size?" Kristinn repeated, his voice coming out hoarse. He cleared his throat, trying to regain some semblance of composure. "I... I wear a large." The words felt heavy on his tongue. Kristinn's hands clenched into fists, his nails biting into his palms. He needed to get out of here, needed to put as much distance between himself and this nightmare as possible. What happened last night? Memories flashed through Kristinn's mind in disjointed fragments - the pulsing beat of music, the press of bodies in the crowded room, the burn of vodka sliding down his throat. And then... Jayce . Laughing, teasing, his fingers brushing against Kristinn's arm. Kristinn's stomach churned. He'd been drunk, so drunk. He couldn't remember how they ended up here, in Jayce 's bed. But the evidence was written on Jayce 's skin, in the ugly bruises blooming on his neck. Kristinn's mark, claiming what wasn't his to take. “Dammit.” he curses himself.
Jayce continues digging through the drawers after a bit he finds a large pair of sweatpants and a black compression shirt. "Here the pants will fit but the shirt might be a bit tight." he says throwing the clothes onto Kristins lap. Kristinn clutched the clothes to his chest, his knuckles turning white. He needed to get dressed, he needed to get out of here before he did something stupid. Like kissing Jayce senseless. Or beg him to do it again. No. No fucking way. He thought to himself. His hands shook as he tugged on the sweatpants, the fabric rough against his sensitive skin. He winced as he pulled the shirt over his head, the tight material stretching across his broad shoulders and chest. It was too small, too tight, too fucking Jayce. Kristinn felt suffocated, trapped in a cage of cotton and denial.
Kristinn's gaze darted around the room, searching for his own clothes. His jacket, his shoes, his fucking dignity. But everything was a blur, a haze of unfamiliarity and shame. Fuck. Where was his stuff? "I need..." Kristinn's voice cracked, his throat dry and raw. "I need my things. My jacket, my shoes, my..." His pride. His self-respect. His ability to look Jayce in the eye without wanting to kiss him or kill him. But those were gone, lost somewhere between the vodka shots and the hickeys on Jayce's neck. Kristinn swallowed hard, his fingers curling into fists.
"Please," he whispered, the word bitter on his tongue. "Just... just tell me where they are." Jayce turns walking towards the bed. "I don't know dude..." Jayce says plopping down on the bed next to him "I'm going back to sleep." He mumbled under his breath.Kristinn's grip tightened on the clothes as he watched Jayce collapse onto the bed, the mattress dipping under his weight. The sight of Jayce sprawled out, rumpled and half-dressed, sent a surge of heat through Kristinn's body.
The memory of Jayce's skin under his fingers, the taste of his lips, the sound of his moans... Kristinn's cock twitched, traitorous and insistent. No. No fucking way. Kristinn's jaw clenched as he turned away, his eyes scanning the room for any sign of his belongings. But the small dorm room was a mess, clothes strewn across the floor and empty bottles littering every surface.
Fucking typical Jayce. Couldn't even keep his own space tidy. Kristinn's fingers twitched, itching to grab a broom and clean this goddamn pigsty. But he couldn't afford to waste time on petty annoyances. "Fine," Kristinn snapped, his voice sharp and cold. "You want to go back to sleep? Go ahead. See if I care." He slips off the bed and heads towards the door, his heart pounding in his ears. He could do this. He could leave, could pretend this never happened. Couldn't he?
Before he could reach the handle, Jayce's voice stopped him. "Wait." Kristinn froze, his hand hovering over the doorknob. He didn't dare turn around, didn't dare look at Jayce. Because if he did, he might...Might what? Beg for more? Kiss him senseless? Fuck him against the wall until they both forgot their own names? "What?" Kristinn asked, his voice strained. He kept his back turned, his shoulders tense. Please don't say anything. Please just let me go. "Your shoes are at the front door under my coat…." Jayce mum-bles rolling on his side to face away from him, his hoodie riding up slightly showing his stomach.Kristin's heart skipped a beat as he glanced over his shoulder, catching a glimpse of Jayce's stomach peeking out from under his hoodie. The sight sent a surge of heat through his body, his cock twitching in his borrowed sweatpants. Fuck. He couldn't let himself want this. Not now. Not ever. But the memory of Jayce's skin under his fingers, the taste of his lips, the sound of his moans... Kristinn's throat went dry. He wanted nothing more than to crawl back into that bed, to press his body against Jayce's and lose himself in the heat of their desire.No. No way. Not with him of all people. Kristinn's fist clenched, his nails biting into his palm. He needed to get out of here, needed to put as much distance between himself and this temptation as possible. "Thanks," he muttered, his voice rough and strained. He stalked towards the front door, his footsteps echoing in the small dorm room. As he reached for his shoes, Kristinn's gaze lingered on Jayce's form, curled up in the bed like a sleepy cat. The image was oddly domestic, oddly... right. Fuck. What was wrong with him? Kristinn yanked on his shoes, nearly tripping in his haste. He needed to get out of here, needed to clear his head and figure out what the fuck was happening. Because one thing was certain - he couldn't let himself fall for Jayce. Never. Could he?
Kristinn stumbled out of the dorm room, his heart pounding in his ears. The cool morning air hit his face like a slap, jolting him back to reality. Fuck. What did he just do? He started walking, his feet moving on autopilot. He needed to get back to his own room, needed to shower and change and erase every trace of last night. But even as he walked, Kristinn's mind raced. He couldn't stop thinking about the way Jayce felt in his arms, the sound of his moans, the taste of his skin. Fuck. He wanted more. He wanted...Kristinn shook his head, disgusted with himself. He couldn't let himself want Jayce. Jayce was everything he hated - messy, irresponsible, a fucking man-child. And Kristinn was supposed to be better than that. Supposed to be in control. But somehow, he'd lost control. Somehow, he'd let himself fall into Jayce's bed. And now he didn't know how to fix it. Kristinn picked up his pace, his jaw clenched tight. He needed to get his shit together. Needed to forget about Jayce and move on. Because there was no way in hell he could let himself fall for him. Right?
A few weeks pass by and there's another party being hosted, this time it’s by his friend. Of course his friends drag him there again but this time he didn’t come just for a few free milkshakes he came at the temptation of seeing Jayce again whether he was aware of it or not.
Kristinn stood awkwardly in the corner of the crowded room, his fingers gripping a red solo cup. The bass thumped through his body, the beat pulsing in his temples. Fuck. Why did he let himself get talked into this? He scanned the room, his eyes skimming over the writhing bodies and flashing lights. He wasn't here to dance or socialize. He was here for one reason and one reason only. Jayce. His gaze landed on a familiar head of messy black hair, laughing and joking with his friends. Kristinn's stomach clenched. Fuck. He shouldn't be here. He shouldn't want this. But he did. God help him, he did. Ever since that night in Jayce's bed, Kristinn hadn't been able to get him out of his mind. The taste of his lips, the feel of his skin, the sound of his moans...
Stop it. Stop fucking thinking about it.Kristinn took a swig of his drink, the burn of the vodka doing little to steady his nerves. He needed to talk to Jayce, needed to figure out what the fuck happened between them. But the words stuck in his throat, choking him. How could he explain the tangled mess of emotions in his chest? The confusion, the desire, the fucking longing?
You can't. You can't fucking say any of that. Kristinn set his cup down on a nearby table, his hand shaking. He needed another drink. Needed something to calm his racing heart and numb his traitorous brain.
Kristinn decides to down a few more drinks to try and steady his growing nerves. After he finally feels woozy he starts walking around looking for where Jacye went since he’s not with the group of friends anymore. Eventually Kristinn spots Jayce being hit on by some random drunk dude obviously by the way the guy is trying to touch him running his hand along Jayce’s arm slowly creeping down. Jayce on the other hand looks really uncomfortable laughing wearily and trying to brush the guy and his hands off. Kristinn's blood boiled as he watched the guy lean into Jayce's personal space, his hand creeping up Jayce's thigh. Jayce's face was a mask of polite discomfort, his posture closed off and tense. Who did this asshole think he was? Kristinn's fists clenched at his sides, his nails biting into his palms. He wanted to march over there and shove the guy away from Jayce, wanted to wrap his arms around him and pull him close. No. Fucking stop it. You can't... you shouldn't… But he couldn't stand by and watch this happen. Couldn't let some sleazeball take advantage of Jayce when he was clearly uncomfortable. Kristinn took a deep breath, steeling himself. He needed to play this cool, needed to be the responsible one. The protector. He strode over to the table, his shoulders squared and his jaw set. The guy didn't even notice him, too focused on pawing at Jayce's leg.
"Hey," Kristinn said, his voice low and dangerous. "Back off." The guy blinked, finally glancing up. His eyes widened when he saw who was talking. "Oh, fuck, Kristinn. It's you." He held up his hands in surrender, taking a step back. "Didn't see you there, man." Kristinn's gaze flicked to Jayce, taking in his flushed cheeks and averted eyes. Fuck. Was he okay? "You should go," Kristinn said to the guy, his tone making it clear it wasn't a suggestion. "Now." The guy held up his hands again, backing away slowly. "Yeah, yeah, no problem. I was just leaving." He shot Jayce one last longing glance before disappearing into the crowd. Kristinn turned to Jayce, his heart pounding in his ears. He reached out, his fingers brushing against Jayce's arm."You okay?"
"Oh- uhm....maybe I don't know-" Jayce says, tripping and slurring his words together like he was drunk. Wobbling slightly. But there’s no way he could be drunk. None of the alcohol at this party was that strong and he had barely been drinking. hell Jayce looked high as a kite like...he had been drugged.
Kristinn's heart dropped into his stomach as he watched Jayce stumble, his words slurred and eyes unfocused. This wasn't just drunkenness. Jayce was drugged. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. Kristinn's mind raced, his hands shaking. He needed to get Jayce out of here, needed to get him help. But he couldn't cause a scene, couldn't draw attention to them. Think, Kristinn. Think.
"Hey," Kristinn said, his voice low and steady. He reached out, slipping his arm around Jayce's waist. "Let's get you home, yeah? You don't look so good." Jayce leaned into him, his head lolling against Kristinn's shoulder. "M'fine," he mumbled, his breath hot against Kristinn's neck. "Jus' a little dizzy..." Understatement of the fucking century. Kristinn tightened his grip, half-dragging Jayce towards the door. He kept his head down, his eyes fixed on the ground. He couldn't afford to make eye contact, couldn't risk anyone recognizing him. Fuck. What was he going to do?
He needed to get Jayce somewhere safe, somewhere he could take care of him. But he couldn't take him back to his place, couldn't risk anyone seeing them together. Shit. Fuck. Dammit.
Kristinn's mind raced as he navigated the crowded streets, Jayce's weight heavy against his side. He needed a plan. He needed...He needed to get his head out of his ass and focus on what matters. Jayce. Jayce fucking mattered. More than Kristinn wanted to admit. No. Now's not the time for this shit.He needed to get Jayce safe. Needed to figure out what the fuck to do next.
One step at a time, Kristinn. One fucking step at a time.
"Where are we going...?" Jayce mumbles leaning into Kristinn as he drags him"It's so hot..." Kristinn's heart pounded in his ears as Jayce leaned into him, his breath hot against Kristinn's neck. Fuck. He was burning up. That couldn't be good. "My place," Kristinn muttered, tightening his grip on Jayce's waist. "Gonna get you cooled down, okay? Just... just hold on." Jayce mumbled something unintelligible, his head lolling against Kristinn's shoulder.
Kristinn's stomach churned. Fuck. This was bad. This was really fucking bad. He quickened his pace, weaving through the crowded sidewalks. He needed to get Jayce out of the street, needed to get him some water and a cool cloth for his forehead. Needed to...Needed to what? Take care of him? Like some kind of fucking nursemaid? Kristinn gritted his teeth. Yes. Yes, exactly like that. Because Jayce was drugged and helpless and it was Kristinn's fault. He'd let this happen, let Jayce get into this mess. And now he had to fix it. One step at a time, Kristinn. Just get him home safe.Kristinn burst through the door to his dorm room, kicking it shut behind him. He half-carried, half-dragged Jayce to the bed, easing him down onto the mattress. Jayce's skin was slick with sweat, his hair plastered to his forehead. Kristinn's hands shook as he brushed the damp strands back, his fingers ghosting over Jayce's flushed skin.
Fuck. He was so hot. Too hot .Kristinn grabbed a bottle of water from his mini fridge, cracking it open and pressing it to Jayce's lips. "Drink," he ordered, his voice tight. "Come on, Jayce. Drink."Jayce's throat bobbed as he swallowed, some of the water spilling down his chin. Kristinn wiped it away with his thumb, his breath catching "Fuck...what happened..." Jayce mumbles under his breath slurring his words. Kristinn's heart raced as he watched Jayce struggle to speak, his words slurred and confused. Fuck. The drugs were really messing with him. "Shh, it's okay," Kristinn murmured, brushing the sweat-soaked hair from Jayce's forehead. "You're safe now. I've got you." Jayce's brow furrowed, his unfocused eyes searching Kristinn's face. "I... I don't... what..." He trailed off, his head lolling to the side. Shit. He was really out of it. Kristinn's mind raced, his stomach twisting into knots. What the fuck was he supposed to do now? He couldn't just leave Jayce like this, couldn't just… His gaze landed on the bottle of water in his hand, and a sudden realization hit him. Water. "Hey," Kristinn said, giving Jayce a gentle shake. "Hey, listen to me. I need you to drink this, okay? All of it." Jayce blinks slowly, his glassy eyes struggling to focus on Kristinn's face. "Wh... why..."
"Just trust me," Kristinn said, his voice low and urgent. "Please, Jayce. I need you to do this for me."
Jayce's lips parted, and Kristinn carefully tipped the bottle to his mouth, watching as the water trickled past his lips. Some of it dribbled down his chin, but most of it went down his throat.
Good. Good. Kristinn kept the bottle pressed to Jayce's lips until it was empty, his other hand rubbing soothing circles on Jayce's back. "That's it," he murmured. "You're doing so good, Jayce. Just keep breathing, okay? Nice and slow." Jayce's eyes fluttered closed, his breathing evening out. Kristinn's heart hammered in his chest, his palms in a cold sweat. Jayce leans into his touch "It's so hot...- and you're cold...." He says stumbling over his words Jayce’s hands cupping Kristinn’s face. My eyes are dilated and unfocused. "Please hold me, it's so hot..." he mumbles , leaving Kristinns face and grabbing his hand. He presses Kristinns hand into the side of his face nuzzling it.
Kristinn's breath caught in his throat as Jayce leaned into his touch, his words slurred and desperate. Fuck. He was really out of it. Really fucking out of it. Jayce's hand cupped Kristinn's face, Kristinn's heart raced, his skin tingling under Jayce's touch. Shit. He couldn't. He shouldn't. But fuck, he wanted to. Jayce pressed Kristinn's hands against his face, his skin hot and clammy against Kristinn's palms. "Don't leave me," he whispered, his lips brushing against Kristinn's knuckles. "Please don't leave me alone."
Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. Kristinn's resolve crumbled, his arms wrapping around Jayce's trembling form.
"I'm here," he murmured, his voice rough with emotion. "I'm not going anywhere, Jayce. I promise." Jayce melted into Kristinn's embrace, his body molding against Kristinn's like it was made to fit there. Kristinn's heart pounded in his chest, his breath coming in short, sharp gasps. This was wrong. This was so fucking wrong. But God help him, it felt so right. Kristinn's hands roamed over Jayce's back, his fingers tracing the curve of his spine. Jayce's skin was slick with sweat, his heartbeat racing under Kristinn's palm. Kristinn's lips brushed against Jayce's temple, his breath ghosting over Jayce's skin. "Shh," he murmured, his voice low and soothing. "I've got you, Jayce. I've got you."
Jayce's eyes fluttered closed, his body relaxing. After a while Jayce eventually falls asleep in his arms.
Kristinn sat on the edge of the bed, his arms wrapped around Jayce's sleeping form. Jayce's breathing had evened out, his body finally cooling down from the feverish heat of the drugs.
Fuck. What had he done? Kristinn's mind raced, his stomach twisting into knots. He'd brought Jayce back to his room, held him while he was high as a kite and mumbling nonsense. He'd touched him, God help him, he'd fucking touched him. You didn't do anything wrong, a small voice in the back of his mind whispered. You were just trying to help him. But it hadn't felt like helping. It had felt like... like something else. Something dangerous and thrilling and terrifying all at once. Kristinn's gaze drifted over Jayce's sleeping face, his heart clenching in his chest. Fuck. He was in trouble. Big trouble. Because the truth was, he wanted more. Wanted to feel Jayce's skin against his, wanted to taste his lips, wanted to...No. Stop. Don't think about that.
Kristinn shifted uncomfortably, his pants feeling suddenly too tight. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck.
He needed to get out of here, needed to clear his head before he did something he'd regret. Before he crossed a line he couldn't come back from.Kristinn carefully extricated himself from Jayce's embrace, his fingers lingering on Jayce's shoulder. He stood up on shaky legs, his eyes never leaving Jayce's sleeping face.
“I'll be back,” he whispered, his voice barely audible. I promise I'll be back. Then he turned and walked out the door, leaving Jayce alone in the quiet room. Fuck. What had he just done?
Kristinn stumbled out of the dorm room, his mind reeling. The cool night air hit his face, a stark contrast to the feverish heat he'd just left behind. Holy shit. Holy fucking shit. He walked aimlessly, his feet carrying him through the dimly lit streets of the campus. His heart pounded in his ears, his breath coming in short, sharp gasps. What the fuck was he thinking? Bringing Jayce back here, holding him like that. Touching him. Fuck. Kristinn's hands clenched into fists at his sides, his nails biting into his palms. He could still feel the warmth of Jayce's skin, could still smell the musky scent of his sweat. Dammit he couldn't help himself rushing back to the dorm room. He quickly swings the door open walking over to where Jayce laid still dead asleep in his bed.
He gently caressed the side of Jayces face, taking in how they looked in their sleep. “So peaceful…” He muttered under his breath. Kristinn's breath hitched as Jayce leaned into his touch, his lips parting slightly. Fuck. He was so responsive, even in his sleep. Kristinn's fingers traced the curve of Jayce's cheek, his thumb brushing over the swell of his bottom lip. Shit. What was he doing? Jayce's eyelids fluttered, a soft sigh escaping his lips. Kristinn's heart pounded in his ears, his cock twitching in his pants. Fuck fuck fuck. He shouldn't be doing this. Shouldn't be touching him like this, shouldn't be... shouldn't be wanting him like this. It was wrong, it was so fucking wrong. but God help him, he couldn't stop. Couldn't pull his hand away, couldn't tear his eyes from Jayce's sleeping face. I'm here. I've got you. Please don't leave me alone. Kristinn's throat burned, his eyes stinging with unshed tears. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. He leaned closer, his lips hovering over Jayce's. He could feel the heat of his breath, could smell the sweet scent of his skin. Shit. Shit shit shit. Kristinn's lips brushed against Jayce's, a barely-there touch. A whisper of a kiss, a taste of something forbidden. Fuck. Jayce's eyes flew open, his gaze locking with Kristinn's. Kristinn froze, his heart in his throat. Shit. Shit shit shit. Jayce's lips curved into a sleepy smile, his hand coming up to cup Kristinn's cheek. "Kris..." he murmured, his voice rough with sleep. "Kris, is that you? "Kristinn's tongue darted out to wet his lips, his mouth suddenly dry. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. "Yeah," he whispered, his voice hoarse. "It's me…” Jayce sat up rubbing his head. "What happened?" He groans. Kristinn's heart raced as Jayce sat up, groaning. Fuck. What was he supposed to say? How was he supposed to explain this?
"You... you passed out," Kristinn said, his voice rough. "From the drugs. I found you I was being harassed by some man and took you back here.."Jayce blinked, his brow furrowing. "Drugs? What drugs?" He looked around the room, his gaze landing on the empty water bottle on the nightstand. "Wait... did you give me water? Why?"Kristinn's cheeks burned, his throat tightening. Shit. Shit shit shit. "You were dehydrated," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I was afraid you'd get alcohol poisoning if I didn't." Jayce's lips parted, his eyes widening. "Alcohol p-poisoning?" He shook his head, his hand coming up to rub his temples. "Fuck. I can't believe I let myself get that wasted." Kristinn's heart clenched, his fingers twitching with the urge to reach out. Fuck. He wanted to touch him again, wanted to feel his skin, wanted to...
No. Stop it."You should drink more water," Kristinn said, his voice rough. "And maybe take some aspirin for the hangover." Jayce nodded, reaching for the water bottle. He took a long sip, his Adam's apple bobbing with each swallow. Fuck. Kristinn's gaze was drawn to the movement, his cock twitching in his pants. Shit.
Jayce set the bottle down, his eyes meeting Kristinn's. "Thank you," he said softly, his voice thick with emotion. "For... for taking care of me." Kristinn's throat burned, his eyes stinging with unshed tears. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. "Don't mention it," he said, his voice hoarse. " Jayce looked down at his hands which rested in his laps before looking over at Krisinn who sat on the edge of the bed next to him. "I guess I should get back to my dorm- I don't want to keep you from your bed-" Kristinn's heart clenched at Jayce's words, a sudden panic rising in his chest. No. No, he couldn't leave. Not yet. Not when Kristinn still had so much he wanted to... to what? "You can stay," Kristinn blurted out, his voice rougher than he intended. "I mean... if you want to. You don't have to go back to your dorm if you're still feeling shitty." Jayce blinked, his brow furrowing slightly. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice soft. "I don't want to impose or anything."
Kristinn nodded, his fingers twisting in the sheets. "I'm sure," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I... I don't mind."
Jayce smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Okay then," he said, settling back against the pillows. "Thanks, Kris. You're... you're a good friend." Kristinn's heart raced, his palms sweating. Friend. Right. Just a friend. "Yeah," he said, his voice tight. "No problem." There was a moment of awkward silence, the only sound Jayce's soft breathing. Kristinn's gaze drifted over his face, his fingers twitching with the urge to reach out, to touch him again.Fuck. He couldn't. He shouldn't. But God help him, he wanted to. "So..." Jayce said, breaking the silence. "How did you find me? At the party, I mean."Kristinn's mind raced, his tongue darting out to wet his lips. Shit. Shit shit shit. "I... I heard you fussing with some man," he said, his voice rough. "I just happened to be at the party and... and I came to check on you." Jayce's eyes widened, his cheeks flushing slightly. "Oh," he said, his voice soft. “Thank you for helping me- sorry for causing you trouble….” He says gripping the sheets. Kristinn sighs looking down at Jayce’s hands gripping the blankets. “No- no it’s ok… I…I wanted to help you-” He whispers under his breath. “Look…I-I care for you Jayce. More than I want to admit.” He says moving his hands over Jayces though not making eye contact. “I’m always crashing into you…” Jayce Cups Kristinns face pulling so they make eye contact. “I care for you too…” Jayce suddenly pulls Kristinn’s face forward into a deep kiss full of unspoken words and promises.
