Project Hail Mary was so good, I love how much affection it has for the different, for the alien. Usually I feel like space and aliens are made as horror, but this is so silly, so cozy, so loving.

I actually kinda love Arthur's hate for cultists, because after learning that's what his parents were, it puts his behaviour into perspective. The intense, black and white thinking he has when it comes to cultists is so reminiscent of a child. It feels like the leftover perspective and beliefs of a hurt kid, that haven't been questioned or worked through yet. Usually Arthur is so good at critical thinking, not committing to a belief or hypothesis before it is proven. Malevolent has so many shades of gray, yet Arthur has no room for benevolence or benefit of the doubt, specifically when it comes to cultists.

Malevolent is such a treat to relisten to, I'm 2 episodes in and already there's so much to go "OHHHHHHHHHH" at. Clarity to old mysteries, and new questions being posed along with those answers. New understanding of characters, and the curiosity that understanding brings. Such a treat HEHEHEH.
