i try not to share my opinions on this kind of thing too much but I fully believe if you wanted to make a petition for clarification of the skin submission rules, which is a good idea, there are a million ways you could go about it. and the one that actually happened is both poorly organized and almost guaranteed not to do anything.

I know people genuinely want to support this. and I do too. but here are a few ways it could be done that might work better (as suggested by @guardsbian & others):

- organize on tumblr instead of the forums

- make a high-demand skin and use payment DMs to give info on how to support the cause to people who sign up for a slot

- boycott making festival skins instead of just skins in general

- generally speaking, invite the wider scope of FR userbase to participate and spread information via avenues that are not the forums

- call it a boycott or a petition, and NOT a 'union' or a 'strike' as it's... not about worker's rights at all it's about a pet site with somewhat arbitrary rules

Did an FR gijinka for my pal @kal-rising in exchange for a very cool art dragon. The only specifics I was given was a man in his 50s with blue hair and beard and let me tell you, that was a TREAT. I love getting to draw hot older men, heehee
