I always assume the best in people.

“A mentor. Right. I know how Santana treats her students. I’ll have a talk with her. Just in case,” she said, half jokingly. She trusted Santana as much as she would ever trust anyone, which was saying a lot, but she was still wary.

“You’ve nothing to worry about. I admit I find Santana  pretty cool, but I still think you’re the coolest of them  all. I’m not gonna stray...”

“Ambitious, I like that. I don’t like that soft spot, though. Do I need to talk to her? Talk to you?”

“How will I ever compare to the great Julie Andrews, though? Should I be worried?”

“I’d feel happier if I had a job as a real actress. But, I do love that I have you as company.”

“No, you’ve nothing to be worried about.  Both of you are amazing, but she’s only  a celebrity crush. You... you’re more than  that.”

“Optimistic till the end, uh? You lied, I died and then lied about it. It’s in my nature, Marley. I was born into this, it’s how I am. I am a liar. Worse, I am a killer. And I don’t regret it, because the other option is me being dead for real.”

“And burn it did, uh? We left nothing but ash and destruction behind us.”

“Actually I don’t. One doesn’t have much time when her employees are useless when she’s off vacationing. But, I could see if Santana is willing to take control for a week? We can have a short vacation there. It’d be nice, yeah?”

“I’m sure Santana would be more than willing to do that.  I can talk to her too. I think she has a soft spot for me.  Maybe we could get two weeks in.”

“I feel like everything makes you very happy. Which is good, because almost nothing makes me happy. Good balance right there.”

“Not everything... Just flowers,  kittens, Julie Andrews... and you.”

“Yeah, I’m pretty sure you don’t want to kiss my cheek, Marley. At least not always. Though, it’s good we’re playing sisters because we can even hold hands without people really suspecting anything. Incest is so very exciting,” she teased leaning over and kissing the other girl’s cheek. Barely. More like the side of her lips. Whatever.

“What kind of rich mafia boss do you think I am? Of course I have a private beach. Or, well, a house that overlooks a private beach that I own. Is that good enough for you, my love?”
