I think we all should.
Adding this from the comments...
I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare
"Why should someone else benefit from my hard work?"
if it benefits you, why is it a problem if it also marginally benefits someone else?
@sparklingdogs get peer reviewed
#also #it does benefit me! it promotes the kind of world I want to live in!
That’s this
Goes to show how little I know
The really crazy part is the Twitter post is the original and the tumblr post is the one that's plagiarized
Net zero info ass post
We literally can see in both the screenshots that the tumblr post was posted first (also evilvillain123456789 lies recreationally, constantly) why are y'all so bad at fact-checking literally anything

Growing up, older folks would always get confused when I expressed familiarity with media from their childhoods and would act incredulous when I attempted to explain the concept of reruns. They'd be like "How do you, a child of this fallen era, know of Looney Tunes" and I'd be like "Because it has never not been playing on television" and this would seem to be brand new information to them
"#dunkinpartner #nyc We would never gossip. But we would indeed collect data. That is different. @ Tiffani S."

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.
I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.
An example of why one should use the Oxford comma.

A note to sci-fi writers:
If you need to have a big scary threat to a whole planet, go ahead. That’s great. However. Please be aware that the planet under threat does not always have to be Earth. If the characters we love have ties to a non-earth planet, threatening that planet is, in fact, sufficient. Viewers are capable of feeling the stakes when the planet is not Earth. It doesn’t have to be All About The Planet The Viewer Lives On. The Planet The Viewer Lives On is not being threatened by a space laser in real life anyway. It’s Ok if your main character from planet zebrathorax wants to pull out all the stops to defend planet zebrathorax. In fact, it’s pretty bad if you have a side character from zebrathorax and they seem weirdly ok with zebrathorax being left undefended to defend Earth. Your characters can even want to pull out all the stops for zebrathorax even if they’re not from there, since presumably they’re good people who can empathize with the zebrathoraxians. The emotional stakes are maintained.
Also. We know you’re not gonna blow up earth in this movie. We are not worried about earth. Zebrathorax is a much more legitimately suspenseful choice.
Star Trek Beyond understood this.
There's this notion that being able to stream professional theater shows will hurt the industry, because people won't go to the effort to support live theater anymore, and this is based on the anxieties of the film industry, but live theater isn't a film. The better analogy is sports.
Look me dead in the eye and tell me that people being able to sit at home and watch The Game -- the fandom that encourages, the ongoing investment over the years, the memories and traditions of Watching the Game with family and friends -- harms the ticket sales of real live go-to-the-stadium sports. Of course it doesn't. Of course all that *is the reason* that people care so much about sports they'll invest a small fortune on not only tickets but often travel costs to be part of it all in person. And the people who aren't doing that *can't* do that and weren't going to regardless, but their at-home participation and investment still boosts the profile of pro and NCAA sports as cultural institutions.
Maybe it's possible to fall in love with film and be immune to the romance of Going to the Cinema such that you'll just freely choose the same film in the comfort of your living room. It's not possible to fall in love with something that happens live and not want to be there to experience it. The consequences of procasts, for theater just like for sports, can only be A) more people motivated to make live theater part of their worlds, aka more money, when theaters everywhere could desperately use more money, or B) more love. Which is worth arguing for because reasons I assume I don't have to defend.
I'm gonna say it, I do think that even the laziest person imaginable should have a roof over their head, food in their stomach, and access to healthcare

things mulder does that remind me of the most endearing toddlers I’ve worked with
will elope if unsupervised in public
puts everything in his mouth
always awake when you want him to go to sleep
zero impulse control
thinks he conveys his thoughts clearly, only to discover people understand at best 80% of what he says
does something he knows is wrong and pointedly makes eye contact with you as he does so
confidently tells you exactly what is going on regardless of whether or not he actually knows what’s going on
makes jokes that are only funny because he thinks they’re funny
brings his favorite person special gifts which may or may not be literal garbage
considers “personal space” to be approximately two centimeters away from you
is the cause of 90% of your problems and the biggest pain in your ass that you can’t help but love
Another drawing I did for my sister (one of the motivational rewards I made for her for getting her work done) since she's been really into My Adventures with Superman lately.
