Mount Vernon Ohio Kokosing Gap Trail Bridge by Mark Spearman Via Flickr: Bridge in downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio no the Kokosing Gap Bicycle Trail. I remember reading that a mentally ill person jumping off of this bridge to commit suicide when I was a boy. It’s not that far down and the water isn’t that deep, but he did it in winter. I forget the rest of the details.  The old bridge is beautiful now. There’s no reason to think of that when I look at it, but I do.
